The 2025 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

TEAM OUTLOOK

Coach Redmond and the Georgia Military College Bulldogs return nearly the entire roster from a year ago with their sights set on another playoff run in ‘25. Leading the way for the Bulldogs is 2026 SS/RHP Seth Ussery who looks poised to pilot the club and power the offense heading into his junior season. With present bat speed coupled with obvious barrel skills at the plate, while also holding a strong defensive profile up the middle. Additionally, returning as one of the top options in the bullpen. Noah Goddard comes into his junior year remaining an effective two-way talent for the squad. Supplying a key piece in the order plus filling multiple roles on defense and being a factor in the rotation. Junior Ayden Hamm, a crafty lefty that fills up the zone, holds down a rotation spot. When not on the bump Hamm fills in nicely as a versatile piece on defense paired with making an impact with the bat. A vital asset to the offense is junior two-way and recent Gordon State commit Eli Griffith. Pacing the order at the top as a pesky on-base threat with impressive bat-to-ball skills in an all-fields approach. In addition, furnishing multiple spots on defense and yielding solid innings as part of the rotation. Nate Webster and Logan Knight both return for their senior campaigns as they intend to contribute steady bats to the lineup, as well as providing quality innings out of the bullpen. Other returning starters are juniors Lantz Holton and Riley Woods who expect to chip in on offense while bringing forth consistency. The Bulldogs will be a team to watch in 1A-Public while reinstating a junior heavy class but experienced core, while also working in some underclass talent.
