The 2025 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

TEAM OUTLOOK

The Spartans will look to have a bounce back year with tons of experience returning. They will have senior leadership at the top in Emmanuel commit Nathan Dollinger. He will be the leader in the line up and in the dugout. Alongside Dollinger will be fellow senior Henry Gill. Gill and Dollinger will look to lead this team with a strong cast of juniors and sophomores. Gill is an uncommitted prospect that can play nearly any position on the field and will help contribute to the team in many different ways. Josh Streeter has been the biggest contributor on the Spartans squad the last few years as a 3 year starter. He has led the region in multiple categories and is on pace for a breakout year as a must see uncommitted prospect. Coach Crowder is really looking forward to seeing what fellow juniors Geremiah Starke and Harris Cornelius can do in 2025. They have both had really successful off seasons. Cornelius came on strong at the end of the year in 2025 and the coach hopes he can continue that in 2025. Outside of those upperclassmen the spartans are going to need a cast of sophomores to step up and play pivotal roles. Jaxston Brown is going to be an outfielder to keep an eye on. He has a chance to learn behind Josh Streeter and be the next center fielder. Caleb Holloman and Zaire Sykes will be 2 infielders fighting for time, but both should gain valuable experience that will help this team for years to come. Kyle Grayson has a chance to be the everyday 1st baseman and supply some power in the line up. Coach Crowder has the right pieces with upper class leadership and young talent.
