2025 Georgia Preview: Ringgold Tigers

The 2025 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. TEAM OUTLOOK

The Tigers enter 2025 in a tough 7-2A region drawing series against North Cobb Christian and Rockmart, among others. However, Drew Walker and staff simply know how to win games as another playoff berth seems likely on the horizon. Backed by a strong senior class along with returning experience. Leading the way are seniors Aidan Hickman and Jackson Black, as they supply the core for the team. Making immense contributions in the line-up as well as anchoring the starting rotation bringing forth veteran experience. When not on the bump, the two contribute quality defense as they hold down spots in the infield. OF Garrett Edgar and QB1 yields a heavy bat at the top of the order and pledges senior leadership. 2025 Eli Crew locks up another rotation spot and bears substantial upside within an athletic 6-foot-5 frame. The two-way senior issues an adequate glove to the infield defense, in addition to being a key middle of the order bat. After putting together a strong season last year, OF Haddon Fries looks to build on an impressive sophomore campaign in 2025 as he could be poised for a breakout season. The junior presents a potent hit/speed combo that will set the tone in the heart of the order. Sophomore RHP/OF Wesley Blair has a chance to be an impact name on both sides of the ball for the Tigers. A mid to upper -80’s arm on the mound that shows a good feel for spin with plenty of projection remaining in the profile. Coupled with providing a dependable stick in the middle of the order. Senior RHP’s Logan Bramlett and Braydon Sylar return as top options in the bullpen, both showing pitchability and an aptitude to mix well. Ringgold has been a dominant force in the state over the years and they appear geared up for another shot at the 2A State Title in 2025.
