TEAM OUTLOOK
The Indians come into 2025 as Coach Pollock nearly retains the entire roster from last year's State Runner-Up team with another playoff run likely forthcoming. 2024 Future Gamer Junior IF/RHP Ashton Roache brings an electric hit, power, and speed toolset to the line-up and will be geared up to fill numerous roles once again this Spring. Region Player of the Year and 1st Team All-State, Senior OF Danny Grant is poised to lead the Indians as part of a strong senior class. Grant displays an advanced approach at the plate paired with excellent barrel skills and much more to come in a twitchy 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame. Behind Grant, a pair of seniors round out the outfield, BJ Carver and Wyatt Franks. Carver who hit .352 last season yields yet another potent bat in the line-up. Seniors Wyatt Dorsey, Justin Smith, and Brantley Allen also intend to fill pivotal functions and chip in to the club’s success. Manning the duties behind the plate is a duo of uncommitted juniors, Cash Unruh and Jackson Savage. Unruh comes over from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee as a physical backstop at 5-foot-10, 180 that will supply a thump at the plate while showing a real feel to hit in the heart of the order. Senior RHP Cole Bonitatibus will be the horse for the club as SP1 and is coming off an impressive junior campaign where he earned Region Pitcher of the Year and 1st Team All-State honors. The Gordon State commit shows present pitchability with more to come in the 6-foot-2, 210-pound frame. Senior two-ways Chase Pollock and Diego Gonzalez will be counted on to furnish the infield defense, while being steady bats in the order. As well as producing quality innings in the rotation behind Bonitatibus. These two uncommitted seniors are ones to monitor this Spring. Senior RHP Andrew Skvarka polishes off the rotation as a key innings eater for the club, while holding adept experience. Senior RHP Robert Grant returns as one of the top options in the bullpen. Along with Grant in the Bullpen is sophomore two-way Drew Barron an upper-80’s arm from the right side. Barron also gives the line-up another consistent piece in the order. Sophomores William Nesmith and Jordan Miller will look to contribute as underclassmen to a battle tested veteran group. The Indians on paper have all the makings to put together a run at the 4A-GIAA State Title and will be one to watch compete in 2025.
