Fall Upperclass Games Preview: Early Look at Outfielders to Watch
October 28, 2019
Here is an early look at four outfielders to remember for the upcoming Fall Upperclass Games on November 10th at Piedmont College.
Caleb Spikes, OF, Mill Creek HS (GA), 2021
Uncommitted high-follow prospect. 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder with developed lower half and strength throughout. Quick-twitch athlete, makes things happen on the field. Hit leadoff and plays centerfield for Devine. Relaxed and loose plate approach, tall, narrow setup, easy rhythm in load, patient but aggressive in the zone. Generates advanced bat speed, strength at contact. Allows the ball to travel deep. Aggressive on the bases, gets good jumps, swiped multiple bags and scored multiple runs on Saturday. Seemingly always on base and scoring runs. Plays with energy.
2021 CF Caleb Spikes (Mill Creek HS, @PBRGeorgia) is a high-level athlete with some strength & moxie. High-energy leadoff man for @DevineBaseball. 2 ABs, 2 SBs, 2 runs. All-around baller. @PBR_Uncommitted @PBRTournaments#FallUpperclassWS pic.twitter.com/zfYQusB75s

Trey Maxian, OF, North Gwinnett (GA), 2021
5-foot-7, 145 pounds; strength plays above frame. Quick, aggressive swing from the right side. Open stance with rhythm load and inward leg kick. Flat path with barrel after set position. Level swing that produced hard contact and backspin. Plays hard.
Trey Maxian (2021; @NGDawgsBaseball) drives an RBI double for @TgDbacks. Maxian has an aggressive swing and has put good swings on balls all weekend. #FallUpperclassWS pic.twitter.com/NdLcMTux52

Chandler Hicks, OF, Alcovy (GA), 2021
6-foot-1, 185 pounds; very raw strength in upper body with superior hand and forearm strength. Hits from an upright stance with consistent hand tempo. Backside stays slightly close upon contact. Swing path is level and whippy. Showed raw strength at the plate with an easy swing that generates advanced pop. Good runner and superior athlete in the outfield.

Cam Suto, 1B/OF, Union Grove (GA), 2020
6-foot-2, 165 pounds; raw, untapped build that has plenty of room for additional development. Loose hands with plenty of rhythm going into load. Leg-kick timing. Very level barrel path allowing for constant contact. Showed he can spray the ball to all parts. Good runner. Very interesting player to watch develop in the 2020 class.
Cam Suto (2021; @CamSuto) has some raw, loud tools at the plate for Georgia Spikes. Quick hands that react well. Goes opposite-field for a triple ⤵️⤵️⤵️ #FallUpperclassWS pic.twitter.com/QmOq8ZkYCE
