Bud Theodocian

Coffee

Wes Lott, RHP/SS, Coffee, 2020
South Georgia State commit. 5-foot 10-inches 160-pounds medium frame quick twitch wiry muscular build. Medium width slope shoulder ¾ slot. Consistent delivery has deception. High leg kick he coils up showing the hitter his back pockets and hiding his hands. Back leg drives a quick uncoiling with multiple release points. FB 84-88 run with down angle, strike thrower. CB sat 73-75, slider character.

 
Brady Skipper, MIF, Coffee, 2022
5-foot-8, 155-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder, lean, athletic build, top of the order bat for Coffee with above average speed. Takes an open setup, hands load back and drop, toe-tap stride to a balanced position. Good feel for the barrel, line approach, looks to put the ball in play and use his speed.

Trevor Gruszka, SS/1B, Coffee, 2021
6-foot-1, 160-pound left-handed hitting infielder, can play up the middle and at either corner position, also saw time on the mound, lean, lanky frame, athletically built. Open stance at the plate, long reverse toe-tap stride, wide base at-contact. Barrel works mostly level through the zone, line drive type hitter.

Justin Swords, RHP/CIF, Coffee, 2022
6-foot-3, 170-pound right-handed hitting two-way prospect, can play either corner position, lean, lanky frame, only just starting to physically fill out, much more to come. Balanced, relaxed setup at the plate, hands load back smoothly, short stride. Presently a line drive hitter, uses the middle of the field, has the potential given his frame and future to strength to be a gap-to-gap hitter. Defensively, can handle either corner infield spot, made a number of plays at third base, arm works across the infield. On the mound, worked 79-83 with armside run. Curveball 70-72, sweeping action.


Johns Creek

Jack Whitlock, RHP, Johns Creek, 2020
6-foot-2 200-pounds. Eastern Kentucky commit. Well built, strong frame. Showed a good 3-pitch mix on the mound. FB was 83-85 T87. Strong lower-half, stays in the backside well and gets really good front leg drive/lock in the finish. CH was 70-73, with good downward action. CB was 63-65, 12-6 action that got hitters out on their front foot. Used all 3-pitches. Made the FB much more effective.
Austin Wainer, RHP, Johns Creek, 2020
Furman commit. 6-foot 165-pound avg frame with proportional strength, avg width slope shoulders arm works clean thru ¾ slot. FB: 79-82 mostly 80 with solid command of armside run and occasional sink. CB: 72-73 quick sweep, has more of a SL character to the break, has good feel for the depth uses it on both sides of the plate.  Bottom line this Kid is an aggressive strike thrower and he is hyper competitive. Never say die Austin keeps his club in games by pitching ahead and making big pitches when he needs them.. command of that CB is his bread and butter.

Dalton Pearson, OF, Johns Creek, 2020
Georgia State commit. 6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, athletically built with strength throughout frame, hit out of the leadoff spot all weekend long for Johns Creek. Open setup, hands drop on load and cocks the barrel towards the back stop, short stride to an athletic position. A solid combination of hit and power tools, good hand-eye coordination, squared the ball up routinely, created some loud contact. Showed off above average speed, running a 4.05 home to first time on a single.

Sequoyah

Colin Koprowski, RHP, Sequoyah, 2020
Columbus State commit. 5-foot-10, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, strong lower half, medium sized frame. Works from an over-the-top slot with a short, quick arm action. Keeps momentum working towards home plate, lands toe-closed, finishes crossing over. Fastball sat 86-88 with good downhill angle. Commanded a 12/6 curveball at 70-73 with depth and deep break, garnered many swing and misses with. Tossed a complete game no-hitter against Johns Creek, striking out 14 and walking two.


St. Pius X

Tommy Fry, OF, St. Pius X, 2020
6-foot, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, lean, athletic build, hit out of the leadoff position for the Golden Lions all weekend long. Takes a line drive approach, good feel for the barrel, made consistent contact. Went for 5-for-9 with four singles, a triple, one RBI, three runs, one walk, two stolen bases, earning himself a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Rob English

Cedartown

Dylan Cupp, SS/RHP, Cedartown, 2023
Mississippi State commit. 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder, athletic, projectable build, continues to grow and fill out his lanky frame. This spring, through multiple views, Cupp has taken a primarily line drive, pull approach, hammering the baseball through the left side of the infield and into left field. A top of the order bat, he is always competitive at the plate and routinely takes quality at-bats. Defensively, as advanced as they come, superior range to both sides, steals hits, arm works athletically and is strong enough to make throws across the infield of his back foot and in the hole. Hopped on the mound for a brief relief appearance, arm worked short and loose from a ¾ to low ¾ slot. Fastball sat 83-85 with armside life.


Cook

Keyshawn Lucy, RHP/OF, Cook, 2020
6-foot-1  190- pounds. Large frame  Athletic build with good muscular development throughout. Broad sloped shoulders slot ranged from low ¾ to high ¾. Keyshawn was bringing everything but the kitchen sink. Varies delivery and slot, high leg to quick pitch this kid is just up there trying to win. Used a FB-CB mix from multiple release points to keep hitters off balance. FB: 78-80 some sink, some run threw strikes when needed. CB: 69-70 sweep some tilt, threw strikes when needed. This kid is just a tough competitor doing whatever he can to win.  Battled his tail with marginal stuff to keep opponent off the board. Best weapons confidence and gamesmanship. Keyshawn is a winner and that’s how he gets it done.


First Presbyterian

Hudson Mimbs, RHP/SS, First Presbyterian Day, 2021
5-foot-11 165-pounds. Short, athletic build. Tons of athleticism, moves well, and toolsy player. Clean actions at SS, good arm action with good agility side-to-side. Hit a homerun to deep left. Shows power in the swing. Good, strong base. Picks the front foot up and down and lets the hands work. Sticks with his approach, and attacks his pitch when he gets it. Really seems to have a plan at the plate. Strong arm, worked up to 87 on the mound.
Harrison Aulds, OF/RHP, First Presbyterian Day, 2020
Augusta University commit. 5-foot-10, 190-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, muscular, athletic build, looks to have added even more muscle to his frame since the last time we saw him. Wide setup, loads hands and weight back, transfers smoothly to a balanced position, uses his momentum to generate power through his lower half. Elevates and drives the ball with a short swing, flicks wrists through contact, gap-to-gap type hitter. Had a robust weekend going 5-for-10 with a double and a triple.
