Georgia commit. 6-foot-6, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, long, lean frame, towering figure on the mound, highly projectable. Got the start against Walton, cruised through the first two innings, showed lots of confidence in his fastball and curveball, located both pitches low in the zone effectively for swing and misses. Fastball sat 89-93, 2500+ rpm. Curveball, 78-80, 12/6 shape, depth, late bite, 2400+ rpm. Used changeup sparingly at 74. Left the game in the third inning due to a combination of pitch count and some command issues.

Brodie Chestnutt, RHP, Houston County, 2021
Florida State commit. 6-foot-4, 225-pound right-handed pitcher, extra large, physical frame, developed lower half. Had some early command issues in his start against North Cobb Christian, but did a good job navigating the early innings and limiting the NCC offense. Settled in and went 4.0 IP, allowing 0 runs, while walking two and striking out 10. Easy effort delivery, great feel for fastball and slider, one he settled in consistently threw strikes. Fastball sat 88-90, touched 91, heavy. Slider, 77-80, downer, located low in the zone, buried for swing and misses.

6-foot, 162 pounds. Nevarez has made some large strides on the mound. He has recently added some mass, and it has really helped his velo. He was sitting in the high 70’s low 80’s a few months back. He did not throw a fastball under 81 in the GDC tournament. Fastball was sitting 82-84, topping out at 85. He mixed in the slider at 75-77 with hard, late break. Matthew Polk, RHP, Cambridge, 2021
Citadel recruit. Stellar outing out of the bullpen, throwing three scoreless innings, while picking up six strikeouts. Showed impressive stuff on FB/SL combo.
