East Coweta v Campbell (3/7/20)

6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitting infielder, have man shortstop and third base to high degree defensively, lanky, lean frame with plenty of room, projectable build. Top of the order bat, relaxed, open setup, hand start low, rise to the ear and load back as he strides long to a balanced position. Takes a line drive approach, uses the middle and pull-side of the field. Barrel has some whip to it, good hit tool. Showed a high IQ at the plate and the ability to make adjustments mid-game. Facing one of the top pitchers in the state, Campbell’s Michael Braswell (South Carolina), saw everything he had to offer in first at-bat, leading to a strikeout, his second at-bat, he recognized off-speed and pulled it down the third base line for an RBI 1B.

Caleb Cashion, SS, East Coweta, 2020
Wallace State-Dothan commit. 5-foot-11, 163-pound right-handed hitting shortstop, athletically built, lean strength throughout. Confident in the box, unafraid at the plate. Open setup, hands start in a lower position and load back smoothly. Strong hitter, good feel for the barrel, line drive type hitter who uses the middle of the field, create hard contact. Defensively, handled everything that came his way with sure hands, smooth action, above-average arm strength, can make the plays to either side, clean footwork and exchanges.

Quinlan Wiley, OF/RHP, East Coweta, 2021
6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitting two-way prospect, projectable frame, lanky with room to fill out. On the mound, made two relief appearances against Cambell, once to close out the first win in the 7th inning, and then came in in extra innings of the second win. Arm works short and loose out of a high ¾ slot, does a good job of hiding the ball on the back-side. Works on-line, leads with hip and leands square. Fastball sat 82-84 with armside run, controlled zone, ran into the hands of right-handed hitters. Curveball, 12/6 shape, depth, 66-70. Has feel at the plate, executed a perfect push bunt towards first base, running a 3.90 down the line to reach base safely.

Austin Bunn, RHP, East Coweta, 2020
Wallace State-Dothan commit. 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, proportional frame with emerging strength. Arm works long, showing high on the back-side, to a high ¾ slot. Drop and drive delivery, works on-line, can stride short at-times, finishes crossing over. Fastball sat 81-84, mostly straight, located in and around the zone consistently. Slider, go to off-speed, feel for, worked the glove-side with getting swing and misses, 73-76.

Michael Braswell, RHP, Campbell, 2021
South Carolina commit. The No. 55 ranked prospect in the country, Braswell stands 6-foot, 165-pound with a live body and athletic frame. Arm works long and loose to a high ¾ slot, quickly accelerates out front. Changes tempo up, adding a number of stutter steps to his delivery, pitches aggressively. Fastball ranged 84-89, had run and sink on this day. Slider, 71-73, when on is one of the top breaking balls in Georgia, throws aggressively, depth, downer action with late bite, consistently got swing and misses with. Changeup, 78, heavy fade action, can be just as effective as slider when it's working.

Andrew Herrmann, RHP, Campbell, 2021
Wofford commit. 6-foot-3, 190-pound left-handed pitcher, big, strong frame that he is filling out in all the areas you want to see, shoulders have broadened. Has gotten out to a dominant start to the season. Great feel on the mound, confident in himself and his ability to get the job done. Arm is clean on the back side to a low ¾ slot. Controls the zone well with fastball and curveball. Fastball sat 81-84 with sinking action. Curveball, 65-68, 2/8 shape, big sweeping action, takes off at-times with late action that can really tie a batter up, not afraid to bust it inside to righties to paint the outside corners with.

Garrett DeHart, INF, Campbell, 2022
5-foot-9, 155-pound right-handed hitting infielder, athletically built, frame will add strength and mass to all areas. Offensively, wide, athletic setup, hands load back, short stride, good balance throughout. Takes a line drive approach with a mostly level barrel path, flicks wrists through contact.

Alex Karst, 1B, Campbell, 2023
6-foot-6, 200-pound right-handed right-handed hitting first baseman, extra large frame, still has a long ways to go as far as adding strength to his frame, has a great foundation to work with though. Offensively, open setup with a slight bend in his knees, hands load deep with some barrel warp, short stride to a balanced position. Barrel works uphill, utilizes his strength to try to elevate and drive the ball. One to watch as he continues to physically develop his body, big power potential at the plate.

Grayson v Brookwood (3/7/20)

Wesley Franklin, SS, Brookwood, 2020
Mercer commit. 6-foot-3, 205-pound middle infielder, large frame, athletic build with strength throughout and room to add more. Hits from a wide, balanced setup with a reverse toe-tap stride, short hand load back, great balance. Uses his strong legs well to go get the ball, swing works smoothly and gains extension with long levers, good rhythm. Advanced feel for the barrel, with a power swing that works to all fields. Consistently finds the sweet spot of the barrel and gives the ball a ride, especially to the pull-side. On this day in particular, Franklin was locked in at the plate, blasting two home runs over the left field wall and a double against Grayson. Earlier in the day also launched two home runs against Archer. Earned Player of the Week honors by going 9-for-13 with five home runs, two triples, and 11 runs batted in.

Carter Bailey, RHP, Brookwood, 2021
Wofford commit. 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, sturdy frame, strong build. Arm works long, show low on the back-side, quickly accelerates out front to a ¾ slot. Repeatable delivery, drop and drive, strides towards the third base dugout, landing closed. Out of the stretch, is quick to balance point and strides, can catch you by surprise. Fastball sat 81-84 with some armside run, worked both sides of the plate. Curveball, 70-73, manipulated shape, mostly used as an 11/5, at-times did employ a sweeping breaking ball. Put in a quality performance against Grayson, picking up the win, going 5.0 shutout innings.

Zach Resh, OF, Grayson, 2020
Uncommitted. 5-foot-10, 185-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, strong, athletic build. Offensively, open setup, hands load back, creating separation, strides out to a wide position, good balance throughout. Barrel works short to the zone with quick bat speed, some uphill tendencies in swing path allow for him to elevate and drive the ball with force. Picked up Grayson’s first hit of the game in the fifth inning by banging one of the top of the left field wall, almost leaving the yard for a solo home run, ended up at second base with a standup double.
