Most Viewed Profiles of 2022: No. 21 Owen Anchors

As we begin to close the book on 2022 and shift our focus to a brand-new year, we continue our tradition of highlighting the Top-25 Most Viewed Profiles for the calendar year. Using Google Analytics, our staff was able to compile a list of the Top-25 prospects whose PBR profile was viewed the most in 2022. Many of the players mentioned on this list produced at a high level at various PBR events over the course of the last 12 months.

Starting on December 7th, we began counting down from No. 25 all the way to No. 1, which will be announced on December 31st. Coming in at No. 21 in our countdown of the most viewed profiles of 2022 is Team Georgia Future Gamer and Clemson commit, OF/1B Owen Anchors from Dunwoody High School.

Scouting Report

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound left-handed hitting slugger stamped an exclamation point on Team Georgia’s statement victory over Team California with a no doubt home run to the pull side in a matchup of two titans. Set up in a crouch with the hands held below the back shoulder, they jolt back with a slight scoop before the barrel is quickly pulled through the zone on a flat path. There is an old school look to the set up with a tendency to capture barrels as he stays behind the baseball looking to do some damage with a balanced approach. The 6.73-runner averaged better than 90 mph (91.2 mph) with exit velocities in batting practice and looks to be a run-producing left-handed stick at the next level.

Positional Profile: OF/1B One of the top left-handed bats in the state, high level defender at 1B, enough athleticism for CF.
Body: 6-foot-3, 180-pounds. Long and strong frame with athleticism and room to add on
Hit: LHH. Wide setup with relaxed hands, keeps it simple, mostly static, smooth load back coupled with a short stride, great balance and consistency. Short path with a heavy barrel through the zone, gets extended and lifts the ball with present power, ball jumps off bat, real power to all fields.
Power: 99.2 max exit velocity, averaged 86.6 mph. 353’ max distance. Big power potential
Arm: LH. INF - 81 mph. OF - 83 mph. Short, loose arm action to a high ¾ slot, some carry, accurate.
Defense: Fields somewhat upright fielder, supremely confident with glove hand at first base, attacks the ball in the outfield, quick and clean with exchanges, athletic feet.
Run: 7.12 runner in the 60.

Uncommitted. 6 foot 3, 170 pounds w/ long levers. Tall free setup w/ active hand movement. Approach & bat speed years ahead of his time. Flashes 5 tool potential right now. True CF, burner w/ long graceful strides. Should be one of the most exciting 2024 in the country.
