Kennesaw, Ga - A talented Mount Paran Christian team made the quick 10 minute drive across town to take on Harrison at Don Shaw Field. Mount Paran would rely heavily on their youngsters to claim an impressive 5-3 victory over the Hoyas.

Florida State commit LHP Luke Dotson (Mt. Paran, 2023) got the start on the mound for Mount Paran, and he did not disappoint. Dotson went six scoreless innings, while only allowing one hit. Dotson relied heavily on his fastball during his outing, pounding the zone at 85-87, topping out at 89 MPH. When he needed to, he was able to mix in a breaking ball at 69-72 to keep the Hoya’s off balance.

Louisville commit 3B/RHP Cam Collier (Mt. Paran, 2023), also had an impressive performance, both at the plate and on the mound. Collier was able to get a rally started for Mount Parana in the top half of the 5th inning with a loud double off the base of the left center field wall. Collier was also called on in a jam in the bottom half of the 7th inning. Collier entered the game with the bases loaded and the go ahead run at the plate. He was able to close the deal and collect the save for Mount Paran, with his fastball sitting 88-91 and an impressive breaking ball at 73-75. Collier went to his breaking ball often to help get himself out of danger.

Uncommitted LHP/1B Jake Tucker (Mt. Paran, 2023) also had an impressive performance for Mount Paran. Tucker was able to hit the ball hard in three of his four at-bats, including a double off of the 377 foot sign in center field during his last at bat.

The two finished out their two game series last night with Harrison taking game two 3-0 behind a strong pitching performance from uncommitted RHP John Raines (Harrison, 2021).
