East Georgia Preseason ID: Pitcher & Catcher Reports

Flowery Branch, GA  - The Prep Baseball Georgia Staff traveled to East Georgia to the Infinite Vision Sports Academy for the East Georgia Preseason ID. This event was an opportunity to see a talented group from the 2025-2028 class. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 30 yard dash and much more. Pitchers were able to throw using Trackman. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Sunday. Our goal at Prep Baseball is to travel east atleast 3 times a year to indetify talent that produces some of the most talented players in the state.

Thomas Davis, North Hall (GA), 2028
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 170-pounds.
Delivery: Controlled tempo down the mound. Stays in sync.
Arm Action: RH. Smooth, repeatable arm action. Athletic.
FB: T84, 80-82 mph. Carry in the bottom of the zone. Good life. T2196, 2071 average rpm.
CB: 66-67 mph. Good feel for spin. Landed it for strikes. T2243, 2227 average rpm.
CH: 70-72 mph. Tons of horizontal movement. Plays well off the fastball. Landed for strikes. T1503, 1446 average rpm.

Hunter Duchaj, North Paulding (GA), 2027
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6-0, 170-pounds.
Delivery: Fluid repeatable delivery.
Arm Action: LH. H 3/4
FB: T79, 77-78 mph. Late life with some hop. Threw over the zone T1809, 1622 average rpm.
CB: 66-70 mph. 11/5 shape with some late movement T1741, 1577 average rpm.
SL: 69-70 mph. Solid horizontal movement, with some drop T2082, 1880 average rpm.
CH: 73-75 mph. Good fade, has command over pitch T1111, 1020 average rpm.

Blake Washington, Woodland (GA), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/3B
Body: 6-1, 170-pounds.
Delivery: Syncs up well. Strong finish, and really gets the chest over the front side.
Arm Action: RH. Over the top slot.
FB: T81, 80-81 mph. Stayed in the bottom of the zone. T2039, 1960 average rpm.
CB: 72-73 mph. Landed for strikes with a late break. T2102, 2050 average rpm.
CH: 74-78 mph. Fading action. Played well off the fastball. T1483, 1384 average rpm.
CUT: 77-78 mph.

Charlie Schrope, Maynard Jackson (GA), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/SS
Body: 6-2, 175-pounds.
Delivery: Quick, controlled tempo. Gets down the mound really well. Strong intent.
Arm Action: RH. Quick, high 3/4 slot. Athletic action.
FB: T86, 84-86 mph. Heavy sink, especially down in the zone. T2039, 1984 average rpm.
SL: 69-71 mph. High spin. Landed for strikes. Tight action that works well off the fastball. T2182, 2153 average rpm.

Cash Fenhagen, Midtown (GA), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-1, 190-pounds.
Delivery: Controlled fluid movements, good use of lower half

Conner Smith, Cherokee (GA), 2027

Delivery: High effort thrower, gets extended well using entire body

Wilson Moore, Gatewood (GA), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/RHP
Body: 5-10, 210-pounds.
Delivery: Simple, drop and drive delivery. Really strong lower half and gets down the mound with good pace.
Arm Action: RH. Shorter, high 3/4 action.
FB: T89, 87-89 mph. High spin. Tons of carry through the zone. Heavy run. T2357, 2231 average rpm.
CB: 72-73 mph. High spin. Tight action with really good shape. Landed for strikes. T2615, 2417 average rpm.
SL: 75-76 mph. Different shape from the CB. Higher spin with late action that plays really well off the fastball. T2684, 2511 average rpm.
CH: 82-84 mph. Power change up. Good speed difference from fastball. T1572, 1402 average rpm.

Nathan Hinnant, Buford (GA), 2028
Positional Profile: SS/OF
Body: 5-5, 130-pounds.
Delivery: Short, high 3/4 slot.
Arm Action: RH. Smooth tempo delivery. Works down the mound. Natural feel for spin on the fastball.
FB: T78, 75-77 mph. T2097, 2046 average rpm.
CB: 67-69 mph. Flipped it over for strikes. Good feel for spin. T2125, 2062 average rpm.

Jay Johnson, Bleckley County (GA), 2026

Delivery: Controlled, well paced delivery. Stays grounded and works down the mound on the back side. Great length in the stride.
Arm Action: LH. Longer, over the top slot. Stays behind it.
FB: T84, 82-84 mph. Heavy run. Filled up the zone. Late life, especially the arm side. T2093, 1984 average rpm.
CB: 72-73 mph. Feel for spin. Missed arm side some but had great shape when he finished the pitch. T2123, 1926 average rpm.

Delivery: Slower paced delivery. Gets off the back side a little early but does a good job getting on the front knee at foot strike.
Arm Action: LH. Long, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 77-83 mph. Filled up the zone. Ability to spot up both sides of the plate. T2156, 2017 average rpm.
