Prep Baseball Georgia Scout Blog: Week 1
February 14, 2025
The Georgia Scout Blog will be a weekly blog with reports and videos from the players and teams that we go out to cover each week. The blog will remain for the length of the week with notes being added the day following from each game. At the end of the week we will update the POWER 25 and CLASSIFICATION RANKINGS, then at the beginning of the following week we will announce Player of the Week awards, along with our Diamond Notes, which is a culmination of all players that were not selected for player of the week.
Note: Player of the Week submissions are sent in by high school coaches.
Week of February 1st
Monday
Dean Livingston, RHP/SS, 2025, Hebron Christian
Georgia commit. It was an electric showing from Livingston in all facets on Monday, while performing in front of a plethora of MLB scouts. Leading off the game, the senior jumped all over the first pitch he saw and blasted a solo shot over the RCF wall. Then proceeded to follow it up in the next at-bat with a hard-hit single into LF. Livingston exudes confidence at the plate and looks to do damage early in the count. The feel for the barrel is obvious coupled with present bat speed and all-fields leverage to match. The lean 6-foot-3, 185-pound RHP presents a repeatable athletic delivery while flashing big time arm speed with plenty of projection remaining. Was dominant on the mound deploying a deep four-pitch mix. Ran the fastball up to 95 and lived 92-94 with the ability to land at will for heavy swing-and-miss. A tight slider with late bite and above-average ability to tunnel off the fastball was worked in at 80-81 for swing-and-miss. The curveball was thrown in the mid to upper 70s while creating depth. While also flashing a changeup at 84. The Georgia commit exhibited the potent arm talent during his first start of the year. With a big senior season set in store Livingston is a name to know come July.

Michael Dee, SS, 2025, St. Pius X
The former future gamer and Georgia tech commit is one of the most dynamic athletes in the 2025 class, and really looked the part at SS for St. Pius X on Monday. Lean, high-waisted 6-foot-3, 170-pound frame with plenty of projection remaining, Dee shows great footwork and lateral actions in the dirt. Opened the game with 4-6 plays over the first couple innings of varying difficulty that he made look routine. Arm plays from multiple angles with accuracy across. Dee would reach base four times as well in the victory, notching 2 singles and 2 walks as well as a SB. Above-average to plus run tool flashed on an infield single where he was 4.16 down the line from the right side with a bad first step as well. Will be a fixture atop the lineup this spring with the tools to carry.
2025 SS Michael Dee does a job and scores the first run of the spring for @StPiusXBaseball

Malachi Washington, OF, 2026, Parkview
LSU commit. Washington stepped up to the plate in the top of the 7th in a tie game and proceeded to launch one over the LCF wall for a 2-run HR. Capping off an impressive stat line on the night going 2-for-3 with a HR/ 2B/ 2 SB/ and 3 RBI. The ‘24 Future Gamer displays a truly impressive hit/combo as well as showing a potent run tool. In an advanced all-fields approach, Washington flashes premium bat speed and stays balanced to deliver a well-leveraged barrel. The LSU commit is a tool-shed of an athlete and rises to the occasion when the lights shine the brightest. A top-tier talent in the ‘26 class that is a must know at a 6A powerhouse in the state in Parkview for the coming seasons and so forth.
