Kapolei High School came out of the gates hot in 2024 as they won eight of their first nine games and they'll look to do the same thing here in 2025 with a healthy mix of returning of players, as well as several impactful newcomers. The team will open up their season on March 8th against Radford and will be a team to watch in the Oahu II Conference as they look to continue their winning ways in 2025. The team will be led by a strong group of upperclassmen, especially the senior class, and we break it all down for you below.
TOP RETURNING PLAYERS
The Hurricanes will be led by three unsigned upperclassmen who really boosted their stock during the 2024 season and will look to continue elevating their game following strong offeasons in the gym. '25 RHP Brock Parmatigan (Uncommitted) will be a go-to arm on the mound and has added several MPHs to his fastball since the spring of 2024. '25 OF/LHP Ekolu Kamaile (Uncommitted) continued to fill out his 6-foot-1 frame during the offseason and the left-handed bat looks primed for a strong season at the plate, as well as in the outfield where he'll be a quality defender. Kamaile will also be looked to perform duties on the mound.
'26 C Jeizen Twining (Uncommitted) will be a junior to watch in the program this spring as he possesses good skills behind the plate. Beyond his defensive impact, Twining also shows good bat-to-ball skills at the plate and will look to provide production on both sides of the ball.
TOP NEWCOMERS
Kapolei will get a nice injection from their newcomers as both come in the form of senior players which will be ready to contribute immediately, as well provide leadership and maturity. '25 RHP/INF Halona Felix (Uncommitted) joins Kapolei from Pearl City HS and is currently one of the top uncommitted arms in the State. Felix ran his fastball up to 85mph at the Invite-Only Hawaii Fall Showcase and will be another go-to arm on the Hurricanes roster.
'25 INF Leland Ramos (Uncommitted) is the other incoming senior as he returns from a year off and is healthy heading into the 2025 season as he looks to provide impact on the infield, as well as offensively. Ramos handles himself well on the dirt and has some thump at the plate with extra-base power.
The Hurricanes head into the 2025 season with high hopes as their senior class looks to close out it's high school career on a high note. Kapolei will be a fun follow in their conference as they look to make some noise and improve upon their 2024 total of eight wins.
