The Lahainaluna Lunas enter the 2025 season looking to improve on their win total of 2024, led by senior infielder Dane Markulis who's committed to Umpqua CC. The Lunas have several names in the senior class who will lead the way production wise, but will receive plenty of reinforcements from a young crop of talent coming through the program. The team is led by Head Coach Emmett Markulis.

TOP RETURNING PLAYERS

The top returning player in the program is '25 SS/RHP/OF Dane Markulis (Umpqua CC) who was the team's top contributor in 2024 as he led the team in nearly every major offensive statistic, as well as being of the teams top arms on the mound. Markulis' impact and performance this spring will be a major factor in how many wins the Lunas are able to collect.

Beyond Markulis, '27 C/RHP/INF Ty Branco-Gomes (Uncommitted) is another top returning player and also offers versatility on the defensive side with the able to catch, play the infield or toe the rubber if needed.

TOP UNCOMMITTED UPPERCLASS PLAYERS

With senior Dane Markulis already off the board, '25 P/1B/OF Gustavo Garcia (Uncommitted) serves as the top uncommitted upperclass player in the program. While he will be a go-to arm throughout the spring, he also offers the ability to make an impact on the offensive side, as well.

TOP NEWCOMERS PLAYERS

The Lunas top newcoming player comes in the form of a freshman with '28 INF/RHP Salvador Chiang (Uncommitted). Chiang is an exciting up-and-comer who will have four years to make his mark on the Lahainaluna baseball program and will primarily serve on the infield but has also showcased potential on the mound. The strength stands out for Chiang and will be an underclass player to keep tabs on while Lahainaluna at the plate this spring.
