Iowa has produced a fair amount of talent the last few years and the 2017 class could develop into a strong crop with some college experience. There were no PBR Draft 100 Prospects, but a few still got their share of attention and figure to have their names called before the 40 rounds conclude.

OTHERS TO WATCH: RHP John Swanda (Des Moines Roosevelt HS, IA) turned in one of the more impressive bullpens at the Super 60 in February and continued to show off his upside through his spring league. A two-way player, his future is on the mound and he has a typical athletic arm you see out of shortstops. Everything he does is athletic, clean and easy. He pitches with little effort and his fastball has late arm-side finish at 88-90 mph.
