PBR: Why did you choose Kirkwood CC?
CLARK: I chose Kirkwood because I believe that they can help get me to the next level. I also feel like our team will be able to compete for conference championships and play at a high level.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
CLARK: I was getting recruited by mostly Division III schools (Coe, Central). I had the chance to visit Coe and was impressed.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
CLARK: The coaching staff first saw me when I was a freshman. My relationship with them has grown as Coach Rima is also my high school coach.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
CLARK: It feels great to know what you are doing. Now I can focus on my academics and get ready for great senior season at Prairie.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
CLARK: What put my decision over the top was that I saw a lot of the top kids in Iowa committing with the coaching staff at Kirkwood I think we can do great things. I am excited to join an outstanding 2016 class.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
CLARK: My USSSA coach Aaron Van Scoyoc. He started me teaching me footwork and fielding techniques at a very young age that are still prominent in my game today. Also my high school coaching staff has sharpened my skills.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
CLARK: I was very optimistic throughout the recruiting process. I had an idea of where I wanted to attend. It turned out to be a very rewarding process.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
CLARK: I am going to come in; work hard and try to earn a job.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
CLARK: When our team scored 4 runs with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th to beat Wahlert and win the conference championship last year.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
CLARK: Spencer Van Scoyoc. We were always teammates growing up but now it is a blast to play against him.
