PBR: Why did you choose Kirkwood CC?
DONDLINGER: I love the campus and the coaching staff. The way they elevate their players to their best and get them to the next level.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
DONDLINGER: My choice was mainly between NIACC and Kirkwood.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
DONDLINGER: I've known Coach Rima since I was a little kid. He helped coach my travel baseball team, and coached my pop Warner Football team. He's always been one of my favorite coaches so I kind of knew that I wanted to play for him again.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
DONDLINGER: Yes, now that the process is over, I can make my overall game better and focus on getting Newman Catholic back to the State Tournament next summer.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
DONDLINGER: All of the people involved with the baseball program, the players and coaches. I know a number of guys that are on the team, and I am familiar with the staff. They're all great.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
DONDLINGER: My family, driving me all over the Midwest to play since I was little. All of the coaches I have had in my life pushing me to get better.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
DONDLINGER: I had no idea what to expect from the process. Early, I knew that JUCO was the path for me, so it was pretty easy after that choosing Kirkwood.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
DONDLINGER: Bettering my overall game and growing as a player. Hopefully solidifying a starting role at any position.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
DONDLINGER: Winning the State Championship twice. Nothing like that feeling.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
DONDLINGER: I have gotten the chance to play with and against some great players with Newman Baseball and Iowa Select. No way I could single one person out as the best.
