PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
HARGENS: I decided on Southeastern CC because when I went for my first visit it felt right and I really clicked with the coaches.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
HARGENS: I was also considering NIACC, Kirkwood CC, Central College, Wartburg and Augustana.
PBR: Where did they first see you? How did your relationship develop with the coaching staff?
HARGENS: I believe Southeastern first saw me pitch at the High School Jr. Showcase.
PBR: What role do you expect to play your first year on campus?
HARGENS: I'm hoping to come in and fulfill any role that they ask me to, whether it be as a starter, reliever or closer.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
HARGENS: Probably my Dad because he has always pushed me to get better and work harder.
PBR: What have you worked on/ improved since last year?
HARGENS: I've worked on and still working on improving my accuracy and arm strength.
PBR: Who is the toughest player that you have faced in Iowa?
HARGENS: Spencer Van Scoyoc
PBR: What are your thoughts on the recruiting process? Any advice for future players in your position.
HARGENS: I would say take your time. Make sure you visit as many school's as possible. Go with one where you really like the coaches and don't make a decision until you are ready to.
