The Top Prospect Games at University of Illinois-Chicago brought the best 2016 prospects from Illinois and Wisconsin in for a two day event where players competed in games and showed off their skill set. The young prospects were highly impressive on the field and put up excellent numbers throughout the two days.

One of the top prospects in attendance was RHP Anthony Holubecki (Kaneland HS, IL). Holubecki topped out at 89 mph on the mound sitting 86-88 mph on the first day. Holubecki was arguably the most advanced prospect in attendance. RHP Brad Littleton (Coal City HS, IL) was a close second on the mound touching 85 mph on day one sitting in the 81-84 mph range. Littleton has a solid build working from a ¾ arm slot and will be a high follow.

We also saw the outfield arms from Wisconsin put on a show defensively. Dominic Clementi (Arrowhead HS, WI) led the way topping out at 88 mph, right behind him was the strong right arm of Cyrillo Watson (South Milwaukee HS, WI) at 87 mph.

The top infield arms also hailed from Wisconsin as middle infielders Justin Lavey (Kenosha Tremper HS, WI) and Gavin Lux (Indian Trail HS, WI) both topped out at 82 mph across the diamond.

Cal Elvers (Sacred Heart Griffin HS, IL) showed a highly advanced arm from the crouch, topping out at 81 mph. Ben Rortvedt (Verona Area HS, WI) and Nick Price (Waubonsie Valley HS, IL) both posted 2.00 pop times, the best at the event.

Justin Lavey also recorded the top exit velocity of the event at 93 mph off the tee. Michael Oh (Glenbrook North HS, IL) and Ben Rortvedt also posted 92 mph exit velocities from the tee.
