In year’s past this event has been attended by some of the top talent in the state of Illinois. The 2014 Chicagoland Open was attended by the high-level defender, SS Ryan King (Brother Rice, 2017). King later committed to Michigan State.

The 2015 Chicagoland Open was loaded with talent at every position on the field. On the mound, Kentucky commit, 6-foot-7, RHP Austin Marozas (Plainfield South, 2017) attracted a ton of attention and became a high-follow prospect. Up the middle, Baylor commit Billy Mote (University, 2017) and Kent State commit Josh Mrozek (Providence Catholic, 2019) put their names on the map. The speedy OF Tyler Acosta (Barrington, 2018) gained momentum from this event, eventually earning himself a commitment to Illinois.

Last year’s event, 2016 Chicagoland Open, had the likes of RHP Riley Gowens (Libertyville, 2018) and RHP Andrew Hoffmann (Plainfield East, 2018), both of whom recently committed to Illinois and Oakland, respectively, this summer.

This year’s event looks to be as promising and talented as year’s past.
