NOTE: Metal spikes are not allowed at Standard Bank Stadium, participants must wear turf shoes or molded spikes.

The Chicagoland Open is an open prospect I.D. event for all high school graduating classes. On Sunday, August 23 high school prospects from all over the Chicago suburbs and beyond will converge at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood to be evaluated by the PBR Scouting Staff and more.

Last year’s event featured slick middle infielder Ryan King (Brother Rice, 2017), a recent participant in the PBR Future Games and currently ranked No. 16 in the 2017 class. The event also featured 6-foot-5, 185-pound right-handed pitcher Jordan Walden (Reed-Custer, 2016) who is now committed to Eastern Illinois University.

This year’s event includes some of the top players in each respective class in Illinois. Jordon Rogers (Simeon, 2018) is ranked No. 6 in the class and was the starting catcher on varsity as a freshman. In the 2016 class, one of the better uncommitted arms Tyler Laux (Lincoln-Way North, 2016) will be participating. Laux features a quick, clean arm up to 85 mph. Also in attendance will be athletic outfielder Reginald Brock (Simeon, 2017) ranked No. 89 in the 2017 class.
