Class of 2019 Showcase: Pitcher Analysis

The Class of 2019 Showcase took place on Sunday, October 15 at the MAX in McCook, IL. This event featured over 90 prospects from the Class of 2019. Shortly following the event we rolled out the full Statistical Analysis and Quick Hits from the event.

Today we conclude the positional analysis, by looking at the pitchers in attendance. Leading the way was high-ceiling right-handed pitcher Teague Conrad (Conant). Conrad turned heads showing a live, loose arm and potential for a dynamic three-pitch arsenal. 

Top Pitching Prospects

1. Teague Conrad, RHP, Conant, 2019
Highly projectable right-handed pitcher, 6-foot-3, 180-pounds, lean athletic frame. Full windup, crossbody delivery, long levers, open toe landing, athletic finish. Arm action is loose and live, ¾ slot. Fastball played with heavy run and sink to arm side, 85-87 mph, touched 88 mph. Slider is sharp on 10/4 plane, hard action with control, 74-77 mph. Changeup sinks, deceptive arm action, 75-77 mph, lively action. High upside uncommitted 2019 right-handed arm.

2. Cameron Kissel, OF/RHP, Plainfield North, 2019
5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitting OF/RHP with a strong, athletic frame. Kissel impressed on the day with his raw stat line including outfield velocity (93 mph), fastball velocity (89 mph), and exit velocity (100 mph). In the outfield has a long arm action from an over the top slot. Plays thru the ball with a clean exchange and quick footwork. Throws showed carry. At the plate open setup with a short stride back to even. Arm bar load with good balance. Fluid rhythm with a short level swing path and a fast bat. Ran the 60 at 7.16. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Wrap on the backside. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Square landing with smooth rhythm. Fastball sat 88-89 mph, worked mostly up in the zone. Curveball has 12-6 shape with short breaking action at 74-78 mph, flashed sharp action at times. Changeup has running action at 78-80 mph for strikes.

3. Ryne Singsank, LHP/1B, Elk Grove, 2019
Highly projectable 6-foot-7, 215-pound left-handed hitting LHP/1B. One of the biggest revelations of the event. On the mound works from a ¾ arm angle with a short, loose arm action. Tall and fall delivery with regular effort. Works in line with home plate, shows good rhythm for size. Fastball has hard running action at 82-84 mph. Slider has 2-8 shape with sharp breaking action at 71-74 mph. Maintains arm speed on changeup at 77-79 mph with power sinking action at times for strikes. Offensively he posted an event best 101 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.50. At the plate hits from a wide base with a long, leg lift stride. Fluid rhythm with loose hands and a long, uphill swing path. Defensively has a loose arm action from a ¾ slot. Athletic actions around the bag at first with a clean exchange. Threw 78 mph across the infield.

4. Matthew Ambrose, RHP, Notre Dame, 2019
6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed pitcher, solid strong build. Easy repeatable delivery, works tall and falls down the hill on line, balanced finish. Arm action is loose, high ¾ slot. Feel for three pitches. Fastball plays with arm side run, occasional heavy feel, 83-84 mph, controlled the zone. Curveball has 11/5 shape, gradual action with ability to drop for strikes. Changeup sinks with fading action, 76-78 mph.

5. Jimmy DeAngelo, RHP/INF, Hall, 2019
6-foot-3, 205-pound, physical, strong, two-way prospect. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, drop and drive delivery, smooth rhythm and easy effort throughout. Loose arm from a ¾ slot. Fastball, arm-side-run, sat 83-84 mph, touched 86. Changeup, maintains arm speed, arm-side-action, 73-75 mph. Curveball 11/5 shape, 67-69 mph. At the plate, right-handed hitter, relaxed, tall, slightly open setup, leg-lift trigger. Simple, easy swing, advanced strength through contact and made a lot of hard contact; 93 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, steady hands, showed feel around the first base bag, clean transfer and long, loose arm action, 81 mph. 7.47 runner in the 60, laser-timed.

6. Jacob Rosenkranz, RHP, Stevenson, 2019
6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed pitcher, lean projectable frame, projects well. Regular effort, smooth actions, toe lift to balance point, open toe landing. Arm action is loose and shows quickness, over the top slot. Fastball is mostly straight, showed control, 82-84 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 70-72 mph. Sinking changeup, 73-76 mph, above average action.

7. Jack Cagigal, RHP, Metea Valley, 2019
6-foot-3, 155-pound right-handed pitcher, thin slender build. Repeats delivery, squared landing on flexed front side. Arm action is loose, short draw, ¾ slot. Fastball flashed heavy action, runs to arm side, 81-84 mph. Curveball sat 70-72 mph, 11/5 shape. Changeup showed good action to arm side, 74-77 mph.

8. Matthew Sorrells, LHP, Oswego, 2019
6-foot-1, 180-pound left-handed pitcher, lean athletic frame. Projectable arm with upside. Tall and fall, easy delivery, little effort, athletic finish. Arm action is short and loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball has hard late finish through the hitting zone, projects, 78-81 mph touched 82 mph, projects for more velocity. Curveball sat 66-68 mph, 1/7 shape. Changeup fades to arm side, near fastball arm speed, feel for pitch at 72-74 mph.

9. Cameron Mulvihill, LHP, Evanston, 2019
Lean projectable frame, slender build, 6-foot, 165-pound left-handed pitcher. Short side step rocker, tall balance point, squared landing. Arm action is short and loose, high 3/4 slot. Fastball flashed running action, 80-82 mph. Curveball has 1/7 shape, 71-73 mph. Changeup is firm, 74-78 mph, feel for the zone with arm side action.

10. Samuel Grushkin, RHP, Seneca, 2019
6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, lean frame with strength. Stretch only delivery, works fast, slight drop and drive, lands square and balanced finish. Arm action is short and over the top. Fastball has slight running action, showed feel for the zone, sat 81-83 mph, topped at 85 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape, 69-71 mph, drops for strikes. Feel for changeup at 69-73 mph.

Logan Bibb, OF/LHP, Mascoutah, 2019
6-foot-2, 207-pound left-handed hitting OF/LHP with a strong frame. Offensively hits from a balanced setup. Long leg kick stride, maintains balance. Pull, power approach at the plate with fluid rhythm. Showed strength thru contact in BP, 89 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.02. Defensively has a long arm action from an over the top slot. Accurate throws from the outfield at 80 mph. Online actions, works thru the ball ball with quick footwork. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Fastball worked downhill at 76-79 mph. Curveball has 1-7 shape with gradual action at 67-69 mph. Slider sat 70-73 mph. Changeup sat 71-74 mph. Projects best as a power hitting corner outfielder.

Shaquan Bowens, OF/RHP, TF North, 2019
5-foot-4, 150-pound right-handed hitting OF/RHP. Defensively has a short arm action from a high ¾ slot. Plays thru the ball with quick, fluid footwork. Plus accuracy, threw 80 mph from the outfield. Ast the plate balanced setup short leg lift stride, stiff front leg landing. Long, uphill swing path. 73 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.27. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Tall and fall delivery with regular effort. Fastball has sinking action, with occasional cut at 71-73 mph. Curveball has gradual action at 64-66 mph. Changeup sat 65-67 mph.

Dan Brannigan, RHP/INF, St. Rita, 2019
6-foot, 205-pound, big, thick-bodied, two-way prospect. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, tall and fall delivery, smooth rhythm, stays on-line and lands square. Arm works over-the-top and comes out of a short window. Fastball, works straight, sat 75-78 mph, topped at 79. Curveball works 12/6, 64-66 mph. Changeup, flashed hard sinking action, 65-69 mph. Offensively, right-handed hitter, relaxed, balanced setup, smooth load, short stride and fluid rhythm. Short, level bat path, gets extension through contact, line-drive approach; 86 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, at first base, reliable hands, clean transfer, short arm action, high ¾ slot and topped at 73 mph across the diamond. 8.37 runner in the 60.

Alex Buchanan, RHP, Kaneland, 2019
6-foot, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, solid build. Tall and fall delivery, little effort, easy delivery with direction. Arm works from a high ¾ slot. Fastball showed arm side run, sat 81-82 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 67-70 mph. Changeup has fading action, 71-73 mph.

Ethan Burgh, INF/RHP, Prospect, 2019
6-foot-1, 190-pound, strong, athletically built, two-way prospect. 7.16 runner in the 60, laser-timed. Offensively, right-handed hitter, balanced setup, slight pre-pitch load, short stride. Fluid rhythm, compact swing, flashed bat speed, short bat path, gets extension through contact at times and makes a lot of hard contact. 85 mph exit velocity. Defensively, natural infield actions, fluid footwork, athletic fielding position, soft hands, clean transfer. Arm works clean and over-the-top, accurate arms, throws carry, 86 mph. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, drop and drive delivery, some rhythm and regular effort. Short, quick arm action, out of a high ¾ window. Fastball flashed run action, 79-80 mph, topped at 81. Slider, 10/4 sweeping shape, flashed sharp bite, 60-66 mph. Changeup, straight, ranged between 65-70 mph.

Angel Cadena, RHP/INF, De La Salle, 2019
5-foot-8, 135-pound, lean, two-way prospect. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, tall and fall delivery, smooth rhythm, stays on-line, lands square, works out of a high ¾ slot and regular effort throughout. Fastball thrown for strikes, works straight, 76-78 mph. Curveball feel for strikes, slurve action, 11/5 shape, 65-67 mph. Changeup, thrown near fastball arm speed, sink and fade action, 6-67 mph. At the plate, left-handed hitter, open, athletic setup, long stride and fluid rhythm throughout. 69 mph exit velocity from a tee. 7.72 runner in the 60. On the infield, actiony defender, soft, sure hands, fluid footwork, clean transfer, long arm action, high ¾ slot, 79 mph.

Jason Cihak, OF/2B/RHP, Neuqua Valley, 2019
5-foot-5, 130-pound left-handed hitting utility player. At the plate narrow setup, low hand set, leg kick stride. Opposite field hitter. 78 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.21. Defensively took drills in the infield and outfield, projects best in the outfield. Plays thru the ball with quick footwork. Threw 80 mph from the outfield. Threw 72 mph across the infield. On the mound works from a ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Fastball sat 71-73 mph. Curveball has gradual action at 55-60 mph. Changeup has slight running action at 61-64 mph. Threw strikes.

Christopher Conrad, RHP, Plainfield Central, 2019
6-foot-1, 156-pound right-handed pitcher, thin lanky frame, projects, slender build. Drop and drive type delivery, gangly levers. Arm action is long and loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball has slight arm side run, 80-81 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, flashed sharp action and depth, 66-68 mph. Changeup sinks, fastball arm action, showed feel at 71-74 mph.

Pedro Cora, OF/LHP, Clemente, 2019
5-foot-10, 160-pound left-handed hitting OF/LHP. Defensively has a long arm action from a high ¾ slot. Plays thru the ball with fluid footwork. Threw 78 mph from the outfield. At the plate balanced slightly open setup. No lower half involvement. 76 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.87. On the mound works from a ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Drop and drive delivery with regular effort. Fastball has cutting action at 69-71 mph. Curveball has 1-7 shape at 61-64 mph. Changeup has fading action at 64-67 mph.

Max Engstrom, LHP, St. Laurence, 2019
6-foot-1, 150-pound left-handed pitcher, lean slender build. Drop and drive style delivery, works directionally, closed toe landing, little effort. Arm action is short, scap pincha separation, over the top slot. Fastball has slight cutting action, 78-79 mph. Curveball showed depth, 1/7 plane, ability to drop for strikes, 65-68 mph. Feel for changeup, 73-74 mph.

Geno Frieri, INF/RHP, Bartlett, 2019
5-foot-10, 180-pound, left-handed hitting, two-way prospect. At the plate, closed tall setup and leg-kick timing trigger. Long, uphill bat path and uses the middle of the field. 73 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, throws from a high ¾ slot, 77 mph across the infield. 7.83 runner in the 60. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, tall and fall delivery, lands open and regular effort throughout. Short, loose arm action out of a high ¾ window. Fastball works straight, around the zone, sat 78-79 mph. Curveball, 11/5 shape, 68-70 mph. Changeup, near fastball arm speed, sinking action, 71-75 mph.

John Hamer, OF/RHP, St. Charles North, 2019
5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed hitting OF/RHP. At the plate balanced setup, short leg lift stride, sits on the backside. Opposite field hitter. 83 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.05. Defensively has a long arm action from a high ¾ slot. Slower actions playing thru the ball with a clean exchange. Threw 80 mph from the outfield. On the mound works from a low ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Tall and fall delivery, upright, recoil finish. Fastball sat 76-78 mph. Curveball has sweeping action at 64-67 mph. Changeup has sinking action at 68-70 mph.

Will Hissong, 2B/RHP/OF, Hononegah, 2019
5-foot-11, 155-pound left-handed hitting utility player. Offensively hits from a wide base, quick leg kick stride. Long, uphill swing path with average balance. 80 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.75. Defensively has a loose arm action from a ¾ slot. Threw 77 mph across the infield and 80 mph across the infield. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Tall and fall delivery, coil at balance point. Works across body. Fastball was straight at 75-77 mph. Curveball has slurve action at 60-63 mph. Changeup sat 68-69 mph.

John Holtz, RHP, St. Charles North, 2019
6-foot, 155-pound right-handed pitcher, thin lanky build. Stretch only delivery, yucked balance position, works online, squared landing. Long arm action, lower slot, ¾. Fastball has slight running action, topped at 75 mph, sat 72-74 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, decelerated arm action, 61-64 mph. Changeup played 63-65 mph.

Connor Johnson, INF/RHP, Streamwood, 2019
6-foot, 210-pound, two-way prospect with a strong build. At the plate, right-handed hitter, balanced setup, short stride and flashed bat strength at times; 89 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, short arm action, high ¾ slot and throws topped at 72 mph across the infield. 7.70 runner in the 60. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, tall and fall delivery and regular effort throughout. Long arm action out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball works straight, 76-77 mph, topped at 78. Curveball, 11/5 shape, flashed tight spin and action at times, thrown for strikes, 63-66 mph. Changeup, sink, fade action, 72-73 mph.

Michael Kolb, INF/RHP, Lake Zurich, 2019
5-foot-10, 165-pound, two-way prospect. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, drop and drive delivery, stays on-line, lands square and some effort throughout. Short arm action out of a high ¾ window. Fastball works straight, around the zone, 77-78 mph, touching 79. Curveball, flashed sharp action, 11/5 shape, 60-64 mph. Changeup, straight action, works down, 71-73 mph. At the plate, right-handed hitter, wide setup, deep load, low hands, long bat path and lift in swing. 83 mph exit velocity. Defensively, fluid footwork and maintains body control at times on the infield. Short arm action from a ¾ slot, clocked at 81 mph across the diamond. 7.37 runner in the 60.

Steven Kronenberger, OF/RHP, Chicago Christian, 2019
5-foot-6, 135-pound right-handed hitting OF/RHP. Defensively has a short arm action from an over the top slot. Accurate throw from the outfield at 75 mph. Crouched setup at the plate, weight shift load to backside. Uphill swing path. 76 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.37. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Stretch only, tall and fall delivery with a square landing. Fastball sat 71-72 mph. Curveball has 11-5 shape at 63-64 mph. Changeup was straight at 67-70 mph.

Eric Lundell, RHP, Marmion, 2019
6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed pitcher, athletic build. Long loose arm action, quick projectable arm, high ¾ slot, regular effort. Fastball had cut action, controlled the zone, 79-80 mph, topped at 81 mph. Uses slider and curveball, slider has sharper action, sweeping 10/4 type, 71-74 mph. Curveball worked 11/5 at 70 mph. Changeup sinks with deceptive arm action, 75-76 mph.

Garry Maynard, INF/RHP, Oswego, 2019
6-foot, 170-pound, two-way prospect with a strong build. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, drop and drive delivery, lands open, with some effort throughout. Short arm action, high ¾ slot. Fastball flashed run and sink, 79-81 mph, touched 82. Featured a curveball and a slider. Slider worked 10/4, flashed sharp action and feel, 70-73 mph. Curveball, 11/5 action, 66-68 mph. Changeup, sinking action, ranged between 65-70 mph. Offensively, right-handed hitter, tall setup, toe-tap stride. Flashed bat speed and strength in swing; 88 mph exit velocity. Defensively, plays through the baseball, clean exchange, short arm action, high ¾ slot, accurate throws clocked at 82 mph. 7.20 runner in the 60, laser-timed.

Ryan McGrath, RHP, St. Laurence, 2019
5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. Tall and fall delivery, with effort, finishes to first base side. High ¾ slot, long arm action. Fastball touched 78 mph, sat 75-77 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 61 mph. Changeup occasionally fades, 64-67 mph.

Daniel Mendez, RHP, Chicago Hope, 2019
Long upside frame, long limbed with slender build, 6-foot-4, 180-pound right-handed pitcher. Smooth rhythm, slightly across his body. Arm action is loose, over the top slot. Fastball is straight, 79-81 mph, occasionally pulls to glove side. Curveball showed sharp action on 11/5 plane, 62-63 mph. Changeup is sinks with occasional cut action, 71-76 mph.

John Meyers, OF/RHP, Batavia, 2019
6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed hitting OF/RHP with a thin, lanky frame. Ran the 60 at 6.97. Defensively has a long arm action from an over the top slot. Accurate throws with carry throwing 81 mph from the outfield. Plays thru the ball with a quick, clean exchange. Soft hands with aggressive actions. Offensively open setup, short stride to even. Long, uphill swing path. 83 mph exit velocity from a tee. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short arm action. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Fastball sat 72-74 topping out at 76 mph. Curveball has 11-5 shape at 67-70 mph. Changeup blended with fastball at 70-72 mph.

Aaron Mishoulam, RHP, Oak Park-River Forest, 2019
Long lanky frame that projects, lean strong build, 6-foot-5, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. Drop and drive type delivery, tucks balance point. Arm action is clean, short and loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball showed slight arm side action, sat 82-83 mph. Curveball has slurve type action, 10/4 shape, occasionally left up, 68-70 mph. Changeup is firm, sat 76-78 mph.

Henry Pelinski, OF/LHP, New Trier, 2019
6-foot, 170-pound left-handed hitting OF/LHP. At the plate hits from a crouched setup, handload to backside, average balance. Uphill swing path with effort. 89 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.07. Defensively plays thru the ball, quick footwork, plays fast. ¾ arm slot with a long arm action. Threw 80 mph from the outfield. On the mound works from a low ¾ to side arm angle. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate, effort in release. Upright finish. Fastball sat 74-78 topping out at 80 mph. SLider has sweeping action at 65-68 mph. Maintains arm speed on changeup at 75-76 mph for strikes, blends with fastball.

Antonio Rivas, RHP, Oak Lawn, 2019
5-foot-10, 137-pound right-handed pitcher, lean build. Delivery works with a high leg lift, slight pause at the top, slightly across his body. Arm action is long, easy, high ¾ slot. Fastball is straight, showed feel for the zone, topped at 75 mph, sat 73-74 mph. Curveball plays 11/5, dropped for strikes, 62-63 mph. Changeup is straight, occasional sink, 66-70 mph.

Victor Robles, OF/LHP, Prospect, 2019
5-foot-7, 130-pound left-handed hitting OF/LHP. Offensively balanced setup, short toe tap stride with a long level swing path. Line drive hitter with fluid rhythm. 75 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.74. In the outfield short arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. Plays thru the ball with a clean exchange. Throws worked uphill at 74 mph. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Tall and fall delivery with a long stride. Fastball was straight at 68-70 mph. Curveball has 1-7 shape at 54-58 mph. Changeup has fading action at 58-59 mph.

Tim Rybarczyk, RHP, Lincoln-Way Central, 2019
6-foot-4, 215-pound right-handed pitcher, large build. Delivery loads on back side, high front side, some effort. Arm action is short and quick, over the top slot. Fastball is straight, four seam type, 78-80 mph, touched 81 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape, 69-71 mph. Straight changeup, occasional fading action, 73-78 mph.

Jack Sauser, RHP, Normal University, 2019
Extra-large, long frame, 6-foot-6, 192-pound right-handed pitcher. Stays tall through delivery, creates occasional tilt. Arm action works out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball topped at 83 mph, mostly straight, sat 79-82 mph. Slider works on 10/4 plane, 72-75 mph. Changeup has downer action and showed feel, fastball arm speed, 72-76 mph.

Bryson Schmidt, RHP, Plano, 2019
6-foot-1, 155-pound right-handed pitcher. Delivery has some effort, works over flexed front side, shorter stride. Arm action is loose and quick, over the top slot, recoil finish. Fastball showed some tilt, sinking action, 76-78 mph. Curveball lacked action, 12/6 type, 67-70 mph. Changeup sinks slightly, 69-72 mph.

Sean Sodaro, RHP, Maine South, 2019
6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed pitcher, lean frame, long limbs. Delivery worked directionally, loads onto backside with high front side. Arm action is long, high ¾ slot, gets extension. Worked fastball down in the zone, topped at 81 mph, sat 77-80 mph. Curveball played with 11/5 shape, short break, 66-69 mph. Slider showed better action, sharper and later, 67-70 mph. Changeup sat 69-74 mph.  

Michael Vaca, RHP/3B, Bartlett, 2019
6-foot-2, 182-pound right-handed hitting RHP/3B. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Drop and drive, full delivery with regular effort. Closed landing with some rhythm. Fastball was straight at 77-79 topping out at 80 mph. Curveball has 12-6 shape at 59-64 mph. Changeup has fading action at 65-69 mph. Open setup at the plate with a deep load. Long leg kick stride. Pull hitter with an uphill swing path. 87 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.41. Defensively has a short arm action from a high ¾ slot. Quick footwork plays thru the ball with average hands. Threw 75 mph across the infield.

William Wachowski, INF/RHP, Maine South, 2019
5-foot-11, 180-pound, well-proportioned, two-way prospect. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, tall and fall delivery, works across his body, lands closed with regular effort throughout. Arm works short and from an over-the-top slot. Fastball, natural cut action, 75-77 mph, topped at 78. Curveball flashed true 12/6 action, good depth, 60-63 mph. Changeup works straight, 64-66 mph. At the plate, right-handed hitter, wide, closed setup and short leg-kick trigger. Uphill bat path and opposite field approach; 77 mph exit velocity from a tee. 6-foot-1, 210-pound left-handed pitcher. Easy delivery, tall and fall direction. High ¾ arm slot, long arm action. Showed feel for the strike zone with multiple pitches. Fastball command, topped at 80 mph, 75-77 mph. Curveball has depth, dropped for strikes, 64-66 mph. Feel for changeup, slight cut action, 68-70 mph.

Rob Zagorski, RHP/OF, South Elgin, 2019
6-foot-2, 165-pound right-handed hitting RHP/OF. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long, loose arm action. Tall and fall delivery working in line with home plate. Fastball sat 78-80 topping out at 81 mph. Slows on offspeed pitches. Curveball has slurve action at 59-62 mph. Changeup flashes downer action at 63-68 mph. At the plate hits from an open setup, armbar load, with a leg lift stride. Pull hitter with an uphill swing path. 85 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.67. Defensively has a long arm action from a ¾ slot. Threw 78 mph from the outfield.
