Marmion 1 No. 4 Plainfield North 7 MORE
Plainfield North starting pitcher Brady Miller struck out seven across five innings and allowed just one run on two hits. Cameron Kissel was 2-for-4 for the Tigers with three RBIs. Five Tigers had two-hit games.
No. 5 Providence Catholic 2 Joliet Central 3 MORE
Providence took a 1-0 lead in the 6th and Central tied it in the bottom of the 7th to get the game to extras. A sacrifice bunt in the 9th gave the Celtics a 2-1 lead, but four singles from Central in the bottom half of the inning gave the Steelmen the win, 3-2. Central's Gregory Honiotes reached base twice and scored twice, including the winning run on a Connor Lawson single.
No. 12 Libertyville 7 No. 23 Carmel 1 MORE
Libertyville took a 5-0 lead into the 3rd and that was more than enough support for starter Riley Gowens, who went five innings, allowing just two hits, no runs or walks, and he struck out seven. Griffin Murphy, Nick Angel, and Tim Jean each had two hits in the Wildcats win.
Simeon 2 No. 13 St. Laurence 5 MORE
Down 1-0 in the 3rd, the Vikings scored two runs in the bottom of the 3rd and three in the 4th to grab a hold of the lead for good. Gage Olszak's two-run double in the 3rd put St. Laurence on top. Matt McCormick walked three times, including once with the bases loaded.
No. 14 Mundelein 19 Wauconda 2 MORE
The Mustangs set the tone for the day with a seven-run 1st inning. Four Mustangs had multi-RBI days, including Drew Breitenreiter and Ben Holly who each drove in three runs. Mundelein pitching allowed just two hits and struck out nine, led by starter Austin Greco, who pitched the first three, and Rahul Champaneri, who tossed the final two.
No. 16 Crystal Lake South 0 Palatine 8 MORE
The defending 4A champs couldn't make much out of the Pirates' pitching, collecting just three hits, two coming from Kyle Hetherington.
Montini Catholic 2 No. 17 Lyons 12 MORE
Lyons scored eight runs in the first three innings which was enough for their pitching staff to keep in check. Grant Leader started for Lyons and allowed two unearned runs on one hit and one walk in three innings and struck out five batters. Matt Piento pitched the last two innings and struck out five batters and allowed just two baserunners. Jack Tabachka and Nic Hughes each drove in three runs for the Lions.
Bremen 3 No. 24 St. Rita 8 MORE
Matt Callahan started for the Mustangs and didn't allow a hit until the 7th inning. He completed the game, allowing just three runs on four hits and struck out 10. Drew Komendant was 2-for-3 and drove in a couple runs for St. Rita in the win. Jalen Greer and Frank Napleton each doubled for the Mustangs and reached base three times.

Peter Mercurio hit two homers for the Hinsdale Central, including the walk-off homer for the Red Devils in the 7th. Connor Bauer was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Kyle Wisch went for three innings, allowed one earned run and struck out eight batters.
