Over the next several days we will breakdown the top prospects from the event by position, culminating in the Top Overall Prospects.

Today we’ll take a look at the top infield prospects split up by Upperclassmen: 2015 and 2016 graduates and Underclassmen: 2017 and 2018 graduates.

Wheaton North’s Casey Becker takes the top spot in our upperclass division. Becker impressed with power potential form the left-side of the plate, and also possesses some arm strength acorss the diamond at first base.

Stevenson’s Charlie Ling was our top underclass middle infielder, impressing with his running speed (4.25 from home to first). His straight-line speed transfers over in the middle infield, as he moves fluidly from side-to-side and impressed making plays up the middle. He also posted above average bat speed with 87 mph exit velocity.

Lake Forest shortstop Jed Thomas was the top 2018 infielder in attendance, impressing with a lanky and projectable frame. Thomas has soft hands, quality middle infield actions, and his best baseball is ahead of him as he continues to physically mature.
