Hodges, Hogan, lead Marist over Homewood-Flossmoor

CHICAGO, IL - The Marist RedHawks got a gem of an outing from junior left-handed pitcher Denny Hogan on Friday. Hogan held Homewood-Flossmoor to one run on four hits and striking out four, securing a 7-1 victory.

Marist run total came early and often as they got on the board right away in the first with a pair of runs all after two outs. Jack Brannigan scorched an RBI double to center, while Jason Hodges follow with an RBI single of his own to center.

Hodges finished the day with two hits in three at bats, driving in three runs to lead the offense.

The RedHawks scored four more times in the second. Max Malley started the four run rally with a RBI single and after Justin Janas was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, Hodges did it again, this time with a two RBI single.

The lone Vikings run came in the fifth on a solo homerun off the bat of shortstop Michael Marseille.
