Several more prospects have named their schools recently, including another top 50 Class of 2015 player. A look at who’s going where:

+ Bradley University continues to roll up the top local 2015 talent. This time, the Braves landed a commitment for Luke Mangieri, an athletic 6-foot-3, 195-pound INF/OF from Dunlap HS. The left-handed hitting Mangieri is a high-level athlete who is currently ranked No. 47 in Illinois’ 2015 class and No. 269 overall. Mangieri ran a 6.82 60 at a PBR event last July.

Mangieri marks the fourth Peoria-area 2015 prospect to commit to Bradley in recent weeks. RHP Mitchell Janssen (Princeville HS), C Andy Shadid (Peoria Notre Dame HS), LHP Jake Hurst (Peoria Notre Dame HS) and Mangieri are all top 50 prospects in Illinois.

In the 2014 class …

+ Grant Klenovich, a physical 6-foot-4, 220-pound 1B from New Trier HS, has committed to the University of Iowa. Klenovich, who features big power from the right side, is currently ranked No. 113 in Illinois’ 2014 class.

+ Blake Thompson, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound OF/LHP from Rochester HS, has committed to the University of Illinois-Springfield. The left-handed hitting Thompson is currently ranked No. 152 in Illinois’ 2014 class. Thompson sat 81-83 and showed feel for three pitches at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase.

+ Robert Hovey, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound RHP from Marist HS, has committed to Loras.

+ Brandon Kaminski, a RHP from Joliet Catholic Academy HS, has committed to Harper CC. Kaminski sat 80-83 with a 67-69 mph curveball at the October Unsigned Senior Showcase.

+ Mitch Coughlin from Plainfield East HS has committed to Tiffin University.

+ Devin Rager from Plainfield East HS has committed to Iowa Wesleyan.
