Lots of recruiting news across Illinois

Lots of recruiting news from all over Illinois:
+ Mitch Vogrin, a RHP from Minooka HS who’s one of the top Class of 2014 prospects in Illinois, has committed to Illinois State. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Vogrin is currently ranked No. 18 in Illinois’ 2014 class and No. 82 overall. He was one of the top prospects at the Prep Baseball Report Preseason All-State Showcase in February, and has been even better this spring. Recently, Vogrin pitched 87-90 mph with his fastball and showed a sharp 76-78 mph curveball. As a sophomore, Vogrin helped Minooka to a fourth-place finish in 4A, as he did not yield an earned run in 35 innings.
+ Illinois State also received a commitment from Ben Hecht, a senior RHP/INF from Effingham St. Anthony HS. The 6-foot-2 Hecht is currently ranked No. 33 in Illinois’ 2013 class. Hecht had originally committed to Northern Illinois before reopening his recruitment this spring. Hecht, who features an easy upper-80s fastball with reports of more, led Effingham St. Anthony to the Class 1A state championship as a junior.
+ Matt Testa, a senior LHP from Joliet Catholic Academy HS, has committed to Yavapai JC in Arizona. Testa, who’s currently ranked No. 92 in Illinois’ 2013 class, is the second Illinois player to commit to the perennial Arizona junior college powerhouse, joining Naperville Central C Brian Schiemann.
+ Ben Dobosenski, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound RHP/1B from Montini HS, has committed to St. Mary’s in Minnesota. Dobosenski, who’s currently ranked No. 166 in Illinois’ 2013 class, showed well at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase.
+ David Matthews, an athletic 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior OF from Clemente HS, has committed to Ranger College in Texas. The left-handed hitting Matthews is currently ranked No. 64 in Illinois’ 2013 class.
+ Alec Skender, a senior 6-foot middle infielder from Metamora HS, has committed to Owens CC. Skender, who’s currently ranked No. 185 in Illinois’ 2013 class, is enjoying a big season for No. 14-ranked Metamora.
+ Michael Rizzo, a senior LHP from Hinsdale South HS, has committed to Benedictine.
+ Ryan Rodgers, a senior OF from Hersey HS, has committed to Carthage College. The 6-foot Rodgers ran a 6.88 60 at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase.
+ Jeff Lindberg, a senior 2B/RHP from Wauconda HS, has committed to Trinity International. Kyle Bock, a senior C from Wauconda HS, has also committed to Trinity International. from wauconda also committed earlier this year to Trinity but is not listed in the commitments.
+ Steve Belovich, a senior 2B from Aurora Central Catholic HS, has committed to Fontbonne Univerisity in Missouri.
+ Tyler Crater, a senior from Hampshire HS, has committed to Olivet-Nazarene to play basketball and baseball.
