Louisville lands two more 2013 Illinois prospects

Shortly after landing Simeon OF Corey Ray, the University of Louisville struck again, this time getting two more Class of 2013 commitments from Huntley OF Colin Lyman and Naperville North INF Nick Solak.

The 6-foot, 155-pound Lyman, who’s ranked No. 6 in the Class of 2013, was one of the top overall performers at the Prep Baseball Report Midwest Future Games, powered by Under Armour, in August. At the event, Lyman ran a 6.8 60, exhibited a strong arm in the outfield and showed a polished left-handed swing. As a sophomore, Lyman batted .338 with 7 doubles, 30 RBI and 52 hits at Huntley.

Ray, the No. 2-ranked 2013 player in the state, and Lyman are the top outfielder prospects in the state. Ray also was a standout at the Midwest Future Games in August.

Louisville also landed Solak, a hard-nosed middle infielder from Naperville North HS, giving the Cardinals three Class of 2013 prospects from Illinois already.
