By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director - Illinois

NAPERVILLE, IL – Neuqua Valley made short work of St. Charles North on Friday, as the Stars couldn’t muster any offense against Wildcat senior Cody Coll (Western Kentucky recruit). Neuqua Valley took care of business in 5 innings winning by a score of 10-0.

Coll pitched five innings to collect the shutout, scattering three hits and two walks while striking out six. Coll was in complete control of the game as the St. Charles North lineup had no answer for the 6-foot-3, 170-pound right hander.

Offensively the Wildcats struck early and often scoring four runs in each of the first two innings. Neuqua Valley put up two more in the fourth and the Stars couldn’t scratch a run across, putting the mercy rule into effect.

Alex Wolanski and Cody Coll each had two hits for the Wildcats while John McMahon drove in three RBI.

Senior catcher Ryan Thomas added two hits for the St. Charles North.
