No. 18 McHenry Shuts Down Antioch in Opener

MCHENRY, IL – In the season opener No. 18 McHenry beat Antioch 10-0 in five innings at Peterson Park.

McHenry ace Bobby Miller got the start on the mound in front of a number of Major League scouts and worked four innings striking out nine hitters. Miller ran his fastball up to 90 mph in the first inning but worked in the 87-88 mph range the rest of the way. The Louisville commit also had a big day at the plate driving in two runs on a double in the fourth and finished the game 2-3.

McHenry loaded the bases in the first inning, but was only able to come up with one run tanks to a bases loaded walk by Nick Finley. Finley, Dylan Honkala, and Jared Wojcik each finished the day with two RBIs.

Connor Geidner had the only hit for Antioch.
