Oswego East - 4

OSWEGO - After an 11 inning thriller on Thursday that Oswego ended in walk off fashion, the two teams were back at it again on Friday. The Panthers carried Thursday’s momentum into Friday’s matchup and took a 3-1 lead in the third on home runs by Dylan White and Nick Cecchi and never looked back en route to a 9-4 win.

The Wolves struck first with a two-out double off the bat of Liam Geoffroy, giving Oswego East an early 1-0 lead after two innings. But the Panthers answer was swift via White and Cecchi.

Oswego tacked on to their 3-1 lead after chasing starter Tyler Heidkamp. Sophomore shortstop Cal Hejza punched a double to right, driving in two runs and a 5-1 Panther lead.

Meanwhile, junior LHP Matt Sorrells battled through 5.2 innings scattering seven hits and two earned runs while striking out seven.

Connor Gill lifted a solo home run down the right field line and Geoffroy added another RBI via a fielder's’ choice but that’s as close as the Wolves would get, a three run deficit.

Kolten Kapusinski put the nail in the coffin in the sixth with a base clearing double to right center that drove in three, making a 9-4 final and a season sweep for Oswego over crosstown foe Oswego East.
