Moline has put together yet another strong season, currently sporting a 26-9 record with a 13-1 record in conference play. One of their key contributors has been Wright State commit Hunter Warren (2023), and this past week was perhaps one of his best to date. The senior hit his way to a 13-for-22 clip with three doubles, two home runs, nine RBIs, seven runs scored and two stolen bases. For his efforts, Warren has been named this week’s Player of the Week.

He started off hot on Saturday the 13th, slugging two home runs in a double-header split with Sycamore, finishing the day 4-for-7 with six RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base.

On Monday, he helped the Maroons to a double-header sweep over Assumption (IA) by going 2-for-6 with three RBIs.

To conclude his week, Warren went 7-for-9 with three doubles, four runs scored and a stolen base in a double-header split with a very tough Lincoln-Way Central squad. On the same day, Warren also hopped on the mound and fired four innings while only allowing one hit, picking up the win out of the ‘pen.

On the season, Warren is now hitting .471 with 15 doubles, six triples, five home runs, 42 RBIs and 12 stolen bases - also boasting a .824 SLG and 1.320 OPS.

We're thankful for the POTW submissions we received from the coaches across the state. The players who garnered POTW consideration will earn a place within Friday's Diamond Notes story, so be on the lookout for that by the end of this week.
