Drew Locascio
Illinois Scouting Director

McHenry junior right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller has been named this week’s Porsche Exchange Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding pitching performances last week for the Warriors.

Miller, a Louisville recruit, threw a no-hitter in a 10-0 win over Antioch on Monday. He went five innings, struck out nine and walked three.

Miller picked up his second win of the week against Maine South on Saturday. In the win, Miller went five innings, allowed one hit, no earned runs, struck out eight and walked three.

For the week he threw 10 innings, struck out 17, gave up one hit, no earned runs and walked six.

Miller also impressed this winter at the Preseason All-State event in February. Here is a look at his scouting report on the mound:

2.14.16 - Louisville commit. 6-foot-5, 190-pound two-way prospect, long projectable build. On the mound delivery works with some effort, drop and drive style delivery. Arm action is long and loose, ¾ slot, long path to release point. Fastball has run, showed some feel, sat 86-69 mph. Showed two breaking balls, both with similar action and velocity. Curveball worked 70-73 mph, sweeping action. Slider is slightly flatter, 72-73 mph. Changeup had sink, fades to arm side, had feel for the zone, 78-80 mph..

For his efforts, Miller has been named the Porsche Exchange Player of the Week for the week of March 19-26.

The Porsche Exchange salutes Miller’s hard work and success.
