Run on turf indoors, Nicholas Gregory (Dundee Crown, 2020) and Daniel Laughery (Grant, 2020) brought their running shoes, as they posted an event-best 4.26 home to first time.
There was a considerable amount of arm strength on the mound at this event. Typically our leaderboards only feature the top five prospects, but this one had to be extended to 10 in order to fit all the prospects. Joseph Kaminski (McHenry West, 2019) ran his fastball up 85 mph, the top of the day. Just behind Kaminski was Jared Novak (Benet, 2020) at 84. The top velocity for a left-handed pitcher came from Dominic Listi (Prairie Ridge, 2019), who was clocked at 82.
Physical two-way prospect Mikal Ashley (Grant, 2020) showed a considerable amount of strength in the cage, recording a 94 mph exit velocity off a tee. Close on his heels was infielder Payton Coss (Huntley, 2020) at 93.
Corner infielders dominate the infield velocity leaderboard. After finding themselves amongst the top exit velocities Brandon Jernigan (Huntley, 2020), Nathan Hardman (Normal University, 2019), and Jared Novak (Benet, 2020) see their names called once more. Jernigan led the pack after being clocked at 85 mph across the diamond.
The top velo from the outfield came from Kyle Hetherington (Crystal Lake South, 2019) at 87 mph. A pair prospects, AJ Henkle (Huntley, 2019) and Daniel Laughery (Grant, 2020), trailed Hetherington by a mere mile per hour,
Ben Harris (Prairie Ridge, 2019) posted an event-best 1.97 pop time to go along with the most consistent pops and the second fastest catcher velocity at 77 mph. Logan Delgado (Antioch, 2020) came out of the chute ready to go with a 79 mph throw down to second.
