As we conclude our look at the Prospect Identification Showcase from February 18^th today we break down the pitchers. We saw some high end arms with Anthony Santos and Keith Rogalla both touching 88 mph, while Justin Hoffmann hit 87. However the most intriguing might be freshman Anthony Holubecki who sat at 84-85 mph from a ¾ arm slot. As we look closer into the pitchers here’s how the top ten shook out.

Top Pitchers

1. Anthony Santos, York HS, 1B/RHP, Class of 2014
Athletic build with strength, 6-foot-2, 195-pound two way player. Strong two way player with potential on both sides. On the mound, short arm action, gets on top of the baseball, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has late life through the zone, mostly straight, thrown with command, 86-87 mph, touching 88 mph. Slider has short quick action, 10/4 tilt, showed the ability to throw for strikes. Changeup has sink, decelerated arm action, thrown for strikes, 70 mph. Offensively hits from a closed stance, slightly longer stride, inconsistent stride at times. Well above average bat speed, 94 mph exit velocity from the tee. Shows excellent pop, makes hard contact consistently. Bat path is short with extension and quick. Defensively shows athleticism around the bag, hands are soft, arm has carry and accuracy, 81 mph across the diamond.

2. Anthony Holubecki, Kaneland HS, RHP/OF, Class of 2016
Lanky frame with athleticism, 6-foot-2, 175-pound two way player. High level 2016 prospect on the mound, showed high ceiling, very projectable. Delivery has balance, tall and fall. Arm action is long, quick arm speed, ¾ arm slot. Fastball has sink from ¾ slot, 84-85 mph, thrown with above average command for age. Curveball lacks true axis, still refining breaking ball, arm slot suggests potential for a sweeping slider. Change up is closer to being ready, occasional sinking action, arm shows signs of deceleration, 68-71 mph, has a feel for the pitch. In the outfield showed a long arm action from an elaborated crow hop, 4.39 runner home to first. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, heel lift trigger, 78 mph exit velocity from the tee. Will project highly on the mound, potential to be a high level sinker slider guy from his ¾ arm slot.

3. Justin Hoffmann, Carbondale HS, RHP/OF, Class of 2014
Athletic frame, 6-foot-2, 175-pound two way player. On the mound showed upside. Delivery shows effort. Arm action is quick, over the top slot. Fastball sat 84-85, touching 87 twice, mostly straight. Breaking ball has 12/6 tilt, thrown for strikes, 67-68 mph. In the outfield showed arm strength, traditional outfield arm action, long and over the top, showed accuracy through his target with carry, 84 mph from the outfield. Exchange is clean, plays through the baseball well, athletic actions, uses crow hop. Offensively hits from an open stance, drops hands at load. Pull side approach.

4. Keith Rogalla, Oak Park River Forest HS, 3B/RHP, Class of 2014
Athletic frame, shows projection, 6-foot-2, 193-pound two way player. On the mound, delivery works from a tall and fall approach, with rhythm. Arm action is loose and quick, lively arm, high ¾ arm slot with regular effort. Fastball is mostly straight, thrown down hill, 86-88 mph. Showed two breaking balls, curveball at 61-64, slows down, rolling action. Slider has more upside, 70-73 mph, the harder he threw it the sharper it was, still needs refining but has upside. Changeup shows arm side run, thrown down, 76-77 mph. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, wide stance, short stride, maintains good balance through finish. Bat path shows extension, consistent hard contact, showed gap power, barrel head has whip through the zone, 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively shows some body control, arm shows carry across the diamond, long high ¾ arm action.

5. Liam Jenkins, Lincoln Way North HS, RHP, Class of 2015
Big frame, long levers, 6-foot-6, 210-pound right handed pitcher. Jenkins looked much improved since we last saw him. Delivery showed a smooth rhythm, tall and fall approach, minimal effort, good balance throughout. Arm action is loose, high ¾ slot, showed feel. Fastball was erratic in velocity, sitting at 79-81, touching 84-85 at times. Changeup showed to have plus potential, excellent deception, thrown with fastball arm speed, well above average fading action with occasional sink, showed well above average command, 73-75 mph. Curveball was thrown for strikes, 11/5 shape, tends to sling it, flashes sharp bite, 65-67 mph. Jenkins shows a high ceiling and if he can harness that 84-85 mph velocity more consistently could see his stock rise tremendously.

6. Michael Greene, Nazareth HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Typical pitchers build, 6-foot-4, 175-pound right handed pitcher. Work exclusively from the stretch, works quickly. Arm operates from a high ¾ slot, length in arm action. Fastball has hard run and sink to his arm side, showed control, 82-83 mph. Curveball showed 11/5 shape at 70-72 mph. Changeup proved to be a well above average pitch, showed excellent fading action, thrown with aggressive arm speed, commanded the zone, 73-75 mph.

7. Malcolm Grady, Homewood-Flossmoor HS, RHP, Class of 2015
Long projectable pitchers frame, 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, long limbed, right handed pitcher. Delivery shows balance, slow tempo start to explosive finish, regular effort. Arm action is loose, gets extension, slot sits between high ¾ and over the top. Fastball shows run, thrown for strikes, 80-82 mph, touching 83 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 61-65 mph. Changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed, 69-74 mph. Off speed pitches show promise but lack polish. Has a high ceiling with feel for the mound.

8. Kyle Copeland, Jacobs HS, OF/RHP, Class of 2016
Lanky frame, 5-foot-10, 145-pound two way player. Shows high projectability on the mound, loose arm action and slender frame make for high ceiling. Delivery is balanced and has rhythm, tall and fall approach, regular effort, stays tall at balance point. Long loose arm action, ball comes out cleanly, ¾ arm slot. ¾ arm slot generates late run, throws for strikes, 80-81 mph, touches 82 mph. Hasn’t developed breaking ball yet. Change up shows signs of having feel, fading action, thrown with near fastball arm speed, 75-76 mph. Showed knuckleball at 56-58 mph, minimal action. Will be a high follow on the mound. In the outfield arm works similarly to that on the mound, shows some accuracy, 83 mph arm strength from the crow hop. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, bat path is level, line drive approach, lacks strength offensively.

9. Ben McElwee, Sacred Heart Griffin HS, LHP/1B, Class of 2015
Lanky frame with projectability, 6-foot-2, 177-pound left handed two way player. High upside on the mound. Delivery shows rhythm, arm works from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball shows sinking action, sneaky quick, 77-79 mph fastball, works downhill. Curveball at 62-64 mph has some feel. Changeup is 67-68 mph, shows control, thrown with comparable arm speed. Shows solid footwork around first base, some athleticism. Displays soft hands, exchange is quick and clean, long arm action. At the plate hits from a slightly open stance, bat wrap load, short stride. 78 mph exit velocity from the tee

10. Kyle Polaski, Joliet Catholic Academy, RHP, Class of 2014
Average pitcher frame, 6-foot, 170-pound right handed pitcher. Arm works with length, shows arm speed, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight run, mostly straight, 80-81 mph. Slider shows downward action, at the bottom of the zone, 68-70 mph, could be thrown with more velocity. Changeup has slight fade, 72-75 mph, has feel for the pitch.

Destin Barnes, Homewood-Flossmoor HS, RHP, Class of 2015
Long frame, 6-foot-3, 177-pound right handed pitcher, shows projectability. Long limbs create knees and elbows delivery, deceptive. Arm action is long, over the top slot, regular effort, work downhill. Fastball is mostly straight, 75-77 mph, occasional sink, thrown with control. Curveball’s shape sits between 12/6 and 11/5, need to refine its true shape, thrown with feel, 67-69 mph. Changeup sits at 66-70 mph.

Michael Borst, McHenry HS, 1B/RHP, Class of 2015
Lanky, 6-foot-2, 170-pound two way player. Tall and fall delivery from the mound, regular effort. Arm action is long, ¾ arm slot. Fastball has run, thrown for strikes, 76-78 mph. Curveball has loose spin, downward action, backup breaking ball, thrown for strikes, 59-63 mph. Hits from a balanced setup, short stride, slight drop of hands at load. Simple swing, flat bat path, line drive hitter.

Nathan Broskovetz, Lemont HS, RHP, Class of 2015
5-foot-7, 160-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery shows some effort, drop and drive style, athletic finish. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight, 73-75 mph, touching 76 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape, thrown for strikes, rolling action, 58-60 mph. Straight changeup, tends to get underneath, 57-62 mph. Secondary pitches will develop with aggressive arm action.

Evan Cherney, Neuqua Valley HS, RHP, Class of 2014
6-foot-1, 190-pound right handed pitcher. Arm works from an over the top slot, shows some rhythm, loads front hip. Fastball is mostly straight, 74-76 mph. Curveball flashes 12/6 action, 66-67 mph. Changeup has control, 65-68 mph, thrown with comparable arm speed to fastball.

Seth Coffey, Ottawa Township HS, SS/RHP, Class of 2014
5-foot-10, 160-pound two way player. On the mound fastball is mostly straight, thrown for strikes, 77-79 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, flashes sharp action, near fastball arm speed, thrown with feel in the zone, 65-67 mph. Change up lacks feel, decelerates arm speed, 69-73 mph, lacked control, pitch will improve with aggressive arm action. Offensively hits from a slightly open stance, bat wrap load, short stride approach. 75 mph exit velocity from the tee, shows some extension.

Jack Coney, Prospect HS, MIF/RHP, Class of 2016
Lanky frame, 6-foot, 150-pound two way player. On the mound, works from a high ¾ arm slot with a long loose arm action. Fastball has slight run, 74-75, touching 76 mph. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape, 62-66 mph. Changeup has sinking action, decelerates arm action, 63-68 mph. Hits from a balanced stance, slight dive to the baseball. Lower half collapses some, 66 mph exit velocity from the tee.

Matt Dunne, Oak Lawn HS, RHP/MIF, Class of 2014
5-foot-10, 185-pound two way player. Defensively shows an athletic release of the baseball, quick clean exchange, can release the baseball on the move. Offensively hits from a slightly open stance, level bat path, 78 mph exit velocity. From the mound uses a drop and drive style delivery, delivery is up tempo, arm action is short and from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is straight at 77-79 mph. Curveball has 11/5 action at 67 mph and a fading changeup at 71-73 mph.

Austin Ebeling, Wheaton HS, RHP/MIF, Class of 2014
5-foot-8, 165-pound two way player. On the mound, delivery shows effort, herky jerky actions. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot, long arm action. Fastball flashes sink, 77-79 mph. Curveball works on 11/5 plane, shows lateral action, 66-69 mph. Changeup is straight, 73-74 mph, some feel for the pitch. Offensively, hits from a slightly open stance, bat wrap load, good setup, solid balance throughout, 72 mph exit velocity. Defensively, arm works quickly, shows quick release, 76 mph across the diamond, solid hands.

Ryan Fish, Oak Park River Forest HS, C/RHP, Class of 2015
6-foot-1, 185 pound switch hitting two way player. Defensively showed solid blocking technique, recorded 2.26-2.36 pop times, 70 mph from the crouch. Ran 4.22 home to first. Offensively has a balanced setup, uses short stride from both sides of the plate. Showed bat speed from both sides of the plate, dives to the baseball, shows stiffness from the left side. Fastball has run at 80 mph, touched 81 mph. Curveball lacks action, slow, 49-50 mph, changeup has occasional fade, 64-66 mph, lacks control.

Danny Forsythe, Maine South HS, RHP, Class of 2014
Average frame and build, 5-foot-11, 165-pound right handed pitcher. Arm works from an over the top slot, short arm action, works downhill. Fastball is straight, thrown for strikes, 73-74 mph. Curveball has rolling action, 65-66 mph. Change up is straight, 68-70 mph.

Sage Gates, Prairie Ridge HS, OF/LHP, Class of 2015
Slender build, 5-foot-9, 145-pound left handed two way player. On the mound uses a tall and fall approach with some rhythm. Arm works with some length, ¾ arm slot. Fastball sits at 74-75 mph touching 76 mph, shows good run but misses the zone to his glove side. Curveball has 11/5 tendency, 64-66 mph. Offensively hits from a balanced setup with short stride approach. Bat path works, lacks timing, 73 mph exit velocity.

Jacob Gilmore, Central Catholic HS, LHP, Class of 2016
Lanky frame with projectability, 6-foot-1, 175 pound left handed pitcher, shows projectability. Tall and fall style delivery, high ¾ arm action. Fastball sits at 73 mph, last pitch topped out at 75 mph with late life , flashes occasional cut action, thrown for strikes. Curveball has slurve action, two plane break, loose spin, thrown with arm speed near fastball, 57-59 mph, has potential. Changeup flashed cut action as well, thrown with deceptive arm speed, 60-63 mph, has control. Young lefty is a close follow, has some projection, shows good movement to his glove side.

Joe Gleeson, Downers Grove South HS, RHP/3B, Class of 2016
Lanky frame, 6-foot, 150-pound two way player. On the mound, works from a high ¾ arm slot, stays closed, slightly across body. Fastball has sink, lacks command, 77-78 mph. Breaking ball has gradual 11/5 bend, 63-70 mph. Changeup thrown with comparable arm speed, 65-69 mph. Hits from a balanced setup, uses short stride, no lower half. Swing uses all arms, some uphill path, high finish, 72 mph exit velocity from the tee.

Tony Gondolfi, Ottawa Township HS, RHP, Class of 2013
6-foot, 175-pound right handed pitcher. Arm action shows regular effort, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight, 76-77 mph. Curveball has slurve action, 11/5 shape, 65-67 mph. Changeup is mostly straight with occasional fading action, thrown with control, down in the zone, 67-69 mph.

Matthew Gurgel, Plainfield North HS, 1B/RHP, Class of 2015
6-foot-3, 280-pound two way player. Defensively arm works from an over the top slot, shows some accuracy, 70 mph arm strength across the diamond. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, short stride, low hands. Bat path attacks the baseball, shows occasional pull side pop, 80 mph exit velocity from the tee. Fastball has slight movement, 76-77 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 66-71.

Dylan Hughes, Wheaton HS, LHP/1B, Class of 2014
Athletic body, 5-foot-11, 175 pound left handed two way player. On the mound delivery repeats well, gets on top and works downhill, separates hands high, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has cut action, showed control for the bottom of the zone, 74-75 mph, touching 76 mph. Breaking ball has 11/5 tilt, shows feel, big bender, flashes sharp bite, thrown with fastball equivalent arm speed. Changeup has cut action, also control the bottom of the zone, near fastball arm speed, 71 mph, lacks enough separation from fastball. Show athleticism defensively, hands are dependable. Hits from a balanced stance, uses short stride, pre pitch bat waggle, lacks timing, 81 mph exit velocity from the tee.

Tyler Jaeger, Neuqua Valley HS, RHP/3B, Class of 2014
6-foot, 185-pound two way player. Defensively, shows some body control, hands show reliability. 4.63 runner home to first.  70 mph arm across the diamond. Hits from a balanced stance, short stride approach. Line drive type hitter, lunges at times, will see improvement if he can stay back longer. 70 mph exit velocity from the tee. Fastball sits 72-73, touching 75 mph. Curveball shows slower arm speed, 58-60 mph. Changeup shows some control, 64-66 mph.

George Karavidas, Glenbrook South HS, SS/RHP, Class of 2015
5-foot-10, 165-pound left handed hitting two way player. Defensively shows some body control, average athleticism. Arm action is short and over the top, shows accuracy, 73 mph across the diamond. Offensively hits from the left side, balanced setup, short stride, toe tap trigger. Bat path shows occasional length, flashes a pull side approach, line drive hitter. Fastball is straight, 78-79 mph, showed control. Curveball has 11/5 tilt, slower arm action, 66-67 mph, thrown for strikes. Changeup also showed control, 59-63 mph. Overall controlled the zone well.

David Keaton, Lake Forest HS, LHP, Class of 2014
Long frame, 6-foot-5, 195-pound left handed pitcher. Frame shows projection. Tall and fall delivery, some rhythm. Arm action was short, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball was thrown for strikes, 79-80 mph, touching 81, consistently down. Curveball had minimal action, 71-76 mph. Changeup showed promise, thrown with near fastball arm action, faded to arm side, showed some feel but left up in the zone.

Steven Ladd, Prairie Ridge HS, RHP/OF, Class of 2014
Athletic frame, 5-foot-11, 175-pound two way player. On the mound has a short arm action from an over the top slot. Fastball sits 80-81 topping out at 83 on his last pitch. Fastball is straight but is sneaky quick, occasional late life. Curveball has 11/5 shape at 66-68 mph, gradual break with feel. Changeup has some fading action, thrown with control, decelerated arm action, 70-72 mph.  Also showed knuckleball at 69-72 mph. At the plate hits from an open stance, uses short stride. Line drive hitter, looks to work the middle of the field, consistent hard contact, finds the barrel. Defensively arm shows strength from the outfield 80 mph but lacks carry.

Nicholas Lahrman, McHenry West HS, SS/OF/RHP, Class of 2016
Athletic frame, 5-foot-9, 150-pound two way player. Defensively shows quick feet in the field. Arm action is long, high ¾ arm slot with some accuracy (74 mph).  Offensively uses short stride, wide stance. Bat path is level, line drive hitter, two piece swing. On the mound, fastball is mostly straight, occasional run, 73-76 mph. Slider lacks action, 66-70 mph. Splitter shows occasional depth, 64-65 mph.

Eric Mallo, Richards HS, OF/RHP, Class of 2014
Lanky frame, 5-foot-10, 140-pound two way player. Defensively shows fluid footwork in the outfield, uses two hands fielding the baseball. Arm works from an over the top slot (74 mph). Offensively, hits from a slightly open stance, hands drop slightly during load, uses short stride. Short bat path, lacks extension, 74 mph exit velocity from the tee. 4.39 runner home to first. On the mound fastball is mostly straight, 71-72 mph, controlled mostly at the top of the zone. Curveball has 11/5 shape, early gradual action, 63-65 mph. Change up lacks separation from fastball, 68-71 mph, straight action, thrown with fastball arm speed.

Braden Mann, Metamora HS, RHP, Class of 2015
5-foot-9, 140-pound right handed pitcher. Arm slot works from a ¾ position, shows some rhythm. Fastball shows run to arm side with little sink, thrown for strikes at 73-74 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, early action with gradual break, 59-60 mph. Changeup has sink, thrown with control, 61-63 mph.

Ryan McBeath, Central Catholic HS, RHP, Class of 2015
Big build, strong frame, study, 6-foot-4, 200-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery shows tall and fall capabilities, regular effort. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight, 74-77 mph, erratic control. Curveball showed occasional 11/5 tilt, lacked a true axis, 60-62 mph. Changeup has fading action, thrown with command, 64-68 mph.

Troy McClaughry, McHenry HS, SS/RHP, Class of 2015
6-foot, 165-pound two way player. On the mound, arm works from a high ¾ slot, long action, long levers. Fastball is 76-78 mph, erratic action. Curveball has 11/5 shape, arm shows deceleration, 62-64 mph. Changeup has some fading action, showed the ability to throw for strikes, 64-65 mph. Hits from a slightly closed stance, uses short stride. Some back side collapse, lacks overall balance, 76 mph exit velocity from the tee.

Jack Molnar, Fremd HS, OF/RHP, Class of 2016
Lanky frame, 6-foot, 150-pound two way player. Very projectable athlete. On the mound showed a long loose arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has run with occasional sink, showed control, 75-76 mph. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape, early action, gets around the baseball, thrown with near fastball arm speed, 65-66 mph, showed feel. Changeup has feel, 68 mph. In the outfield, uses a long over the top arm action, 77 mph from the outfield. Hits from a closed stance, no stride approach, lacks lower half involvement, good balance throughout. Line drive approach, 75 mph exit velocity.

Logan Muckenhirn, Naperville Central HS, 3B/RHP, Class of 2015
6-foot-1, 170-pound two way player. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, arm bar load, short stride. Lower half shows some collapse, pull side approach, 75 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the mound, fastball is mostly straight, occasional sink, 79 mph. Curveball has 11/5 action, 65-66 mph, consistently down. Changeup is straight, thrown with near fastball arm speed, 69-72 mph.

Tyler Muselman, Lincoln-Way East HS, SS/RHP, Class of 2015
Lanky frame, 5-foot-9, 140-pound two way player. Defensively arm works with length, side arm release, shows some accuracy (64 mph). Offensively hits from an open stance, drops hands at load, uses slight leg kick, 70 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the mound fastball is straight, 65-67 mph. Slider has minimal action, 54-58 mph, changeup at 57-59 mph.

Alec Pilcher, Naperville North HS, LHP, Class of 2014
Lanky frame, slender build, 5-foot-10, 135-pound left handed pitcher. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot on the mound. Fastball has gradual sinking action, 68-70 mph. Breaking ball works on 11/5 plane, thrown for strikes, break is gradual, 57-60-mph. Changeup  has fading action, 63-64 mph.

Alex Ragusa, Joliet Catholic Academy, RHP/OF, Class of 2015
6-foot, 160-pound right handed two way player. Showed better on the mound. Tall and fall delivery, has some rhythm. Arm action is loose from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight showing slight run, showed command for his fastball, 76-77 mph. Curveball showed feel, thrown consistently for strikes, 61-63 mph. Changeup shows good arm speed and deception, shows feel, sinking action 69-71 mph, also has command. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, uses short stride, good balance throughout. Bat path shows extension, gap to gap tendencies, 81 mph exit velocity from the tee.

Teddy Romas, Homewood-Flossmoor HS, RHP, Class of 2013
Lanky frame, slender build, 6-foot, 150-pound right handed pitcher. High ¾ arm slot, some collapse on back side. Fastball has occasional run, showed command, 77-79 mph. Curveball works on 11/5 plane, showed feel for the zone, 66-70 mph. Changeup has sink, 73-75 mph. Showed three quality pitches that will get him outs.

Benjamin Samborn, Glenbrook South HS, 3B/RHP
5-foot-9, 165-pound two way player. Arm shows carry across the diamond (77 mph), exchange is clean, long release, prerelease glove pat. Hits from a slightly open stance, uses short stride. Creates hard contact, hits off back side, good pop, 82 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the mound his fastball shows slight run, 76-78 mph, shows control. Curveball has 11/5 shape, decelerates arm speed, 64-66 mph. Changeup has arm side run, fading action, 74-75 mph. Also showed knuckleball at 70-72 mph.

Christian Sanchez, Minooka HS, SS/RHP, Class of 2015
Slender build, 5-foot-11, 146-pound two way player. Over the top arm action from the outfield with some carry (81 mph). Shows some athleticism, footwork lacks consistency in the infield. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, shows some whip, level path, some uphill tendencies, 80 mph exit velocity. Works gap to gap, lacks strength, singles hitter. On the mound, fastball has run in the strike zone, 77-79 mph, flashed 80 mph. Curveball has 11/5 tilt, 66-69 mph. Change up has feel, fading action with slight sink, thrown with command, 70-72 mph. Also showed splitter with occasional life, lacked control, 66-67.

Aaron Saper, Stevenson HS, OF/LHP, Class of 2015
5-foot-11, 170-pound left handed two way player. From the outfield shows athletic feet, uses crow hop, arm works from a ¾ arm slot, 77 mph from the outfield. At the plate hits from an open stance, uses short stride, 71 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the mound uses full windup delivery, shows some deception, tall and fall delivery, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball has slight run, 77-78 mph touching 79 mph. Multiple breaking balls. Curveball has 11/5 tilt, some sweeping action, gradual bend, 61-64 mph. Slider shows identical action, lacks separation from curveball, 66 mph. Change up is down, 68-70 mph.

5-foot-8, 150 pound right handed pitcher, shows some pitchability. Delivery shows effort, coils front side, stays closed for a long time, delivery is slightly rushed from the stretch, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is straight, little life, some feel, 80-82 mph. Breaking ball varies between 12/6 and 11/5 action, 61-63 mph. Change up has feel, fading action, stayed in the strike zone, 68-70 mph, has chance to be a well above average pitch.

Daniel Tenayuca, Jacobs HS, RHP/INF, Class of 2015
Small frame, 5-foot-7, 135-pound two way player. Defensively plays multiple positions. In the outfield uses crow hop well, traditional outfield arm action, long over the top arm slot, 76 mph from the outfield. On the infield, fields deep, hands lack softness, 73 mph across the diamond. 4.34 home to first. Offensively, hits from slightly closed stance, slight dive over the plate. Bat path is short and level, line drive type hitter, clean bat path. Solid overall swing, lacks strength, will improve with strength.

Ryan Thompson, Richards HS, LHP, Class of 2014
6-foot-1, 180-pound left handed pitcher. Tall and fall style delivery, smooth rhythm, stay on line. Arm action shows regular effort, high ¾ arm slot. Fastball is mostly straight, shows control, 73-75 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, thrown for strikes, arm speed is comparable to fastball, 65-68 mph. Changeup has occasional sinking action, fastball arm speed, 71-73 mph, lacks separation from fastball.
