Two more Class of 2013 ranked prospects made their college decisions:

Ricardo Ramirez, a physical 6-foot, 195-pound 3B from De La Salle HS, has committed to the University of Illinois-Chicago. Ramirez became one of the state’s hottest prospects after he put on a show at the Prep Baseball Report Top Prospect Showcase, which he earned top prospect honors. Ramirez showed a plus arm across the infield, in addition to a quiet, powerful swing at the plate.

Troy Vandenbroek, an athletic OF from Belvidere HS, has committed to Eastern Illinois University. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Vandenbroek is a high-energy prospect who can play several positions adeptly. He has an aggressive plate approach and has run a sub-7 60 at PBR events.
