CLICK HERE to take a look at this week’s National Buzz. With that in mind, let’s take an in depth look at the Illinois prospects who have committed to colleges, with detailed scouting information.

Brady Corrigan, RHP, Plainfield North, 2017
Arizona State

Brady CorriganFuture Games 2015 - Athletically built, prototypical pitchers frame 6-foot-3, 180-pound right-handed pitcher was one of the biggest risers at the Future Games. Looks to be the total package on the mound. He featured one of if not the best breaking balls at the event. Corrigan’s curveball is a flat out hammer, at 77-79 mph it can work 12/6 and has swing and miss action that he throws with conviction. On top of that he is athletic, has an electric arm and exudes a ton of confidence on the mound. Fastball was a lively 88-90 mph in his two outings and wasn’t afraid to challenge hitters. Operates from a high ¾ arm slot, repeats his delivery and pounds the zone with all of his pitches. Has feel for a change-up, thrown with fastball arm-speed, fade action at 82 mph. In his two innings of work over the weekend he only allowed one hit and struck out three. One of the top uncommitted 2017’s in the entire Midwest.

Brendan Joyce, OF, St. Charles North, 2016
Parkland College

Brendan Joyce7.8.15 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound athletic outfielder. Offensively, hits from the right-hand side. Balanced, athletic setup. Smooth, rhythmic load, with a big leg-lift trigger. Hands get into a powerful position pre-pitch. Line-drive hitter with an up-the-middle approach. Doesn’t try to do too much. Hammered a triple in game play and was 4.75 on the turn. Registered a 72 mph exit velocity off the tee. Defensively, had fluid feet and a clean exchange from the outfield. Throws stayed true and had carry. Clocked at 82 mph from the outfield.

Jordan Wright, OF, Sycamore, 2016
Columbia College (MO)

Jordan Wright6.18.15 - 5-foot-10, 160-pound, small frame, athletic build, left-handed hitter. Hits from an open stance, smooth load, lower half works, good balance. Fast bat speed, short, level bat path, gap-to-gap approach, 91 mph exit velocity. Defensively displayed average hands, quick footwork, clean exchange, ability to play through the ball, 80 mph from the OF. Ran a 6.91 60-time.

Zach Jarosz, 2B, Plainfield North, 2016
South Dakota State

Zach Jarosz1.19.14 - 5-foot-9, 150-pound infielder. Defensively, he plays through balls athletically with solid hands and quick footwork. Arm works long and stiff at 75 mph with accuracy. Ran a 7.3 60. At the plate he hits from a tall stance. Bat path is level with extension and creates quality whip. Exit velocity off the tee was 79 mph.

Ryan Schefske, SS, Glenbard East, 2016
Lewis University

Ryan Schefske4.14.15 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound, right-handed hitting shortstop with a thin athletic frame. In pregame showed soft sure hands and lateral agility with athletic actions. Arm is playable. Read hops well in games. At the plate hits from a tall narrow stance with a low hand set. Short swing path to the ball. Strong fielder who will help a college program.
