Patrick Loeffler, 3B, Stevenson, 2016
Indiana

Patrick Loeffler6/18/15 - Solid build with strength, 6-foot-1, 200-pound left-handed hitting third baseman. Hits from a balanced stance, smooth loading action, stride slightly dives, uses lower half and maintains good balance through contact. Barrel aware, showed bat strength and made hard contact. Path is short to the baseball, has a middle to opposite field approach. 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively arm played well from third, short high ¾ arm action, showed occasional carry, 78 mph across the diamond, longer release. Should have the ability to improve footwork at third, runs well, 6.98 runner in the 60.

Reed McCool, RHP, Providence Catholic, 2016
North Central

Reed McCool6/16/15 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound, right-handed pitcher. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a short arm action. Tall and fall, online delivery with regular effort. Tall balance point with level shoulders throughout delivery, and an upright finish. Threw fastball for strikes at 79-81 mph. Curveball for strikes with 11-5 shape and late action at 64-67 mph. Changeup sat 69-70 mph.


Trevor Ranallo, 2B, Huntley, 2016

College of Lake County

Trevor Ranallo8.7.15 - Put together, strong 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. Stood out during game play at the plate. Had three hits in two games, a double and two stolen bases. Offensively, flashed the ability to stay on top and backspin baseballs. Balanced setup, pre-pitch rhythm in hands and a slight, smooth load. Slight leg-lift trigger. Level bat path through the zone, gap-to-gap approach, exit velocity of 81 mph. Defensively, clean exchange, long-arm action, ¾ slot, with some accuracy on throws. Clocked at 73 mph across the infield. Also, ran a 7.53 60 yard dash.

Zach Fick, SS, St. Charles North, 2016
Illinois-Springfield

Zach Fick7.8.15 - 5-foot-11, 150-pound, thin build, right-handed hitter. Hits from a tall set up, loads back, slight arm bar, short stride. Average bat speed, short bat path, line-drive approach, 77 mph exit velocity. Defensively displayed above-average hands, fluid footwork and clean exchange. Short arm action, ¾ arm slot, 77 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.53 home-to-first time.



Sam Perlin, RHP, Vernon Hills, 2016

Wisconsin-Stout

Sam Perlin1.24.16 - 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action and stab on the backside. Drop and drive delivery with an open toed landing. Threw fastball for strikes at 78-80 mph. Curveball showed tight rotation at 67-70 mph. Slider showed sweeping action with depth at 72-75 mph. Maintained armspeed on changeup with fading action at 69-72 mph
