Recruiting news from around Illinois:

RHP Matt Dennis, who’s currently ranked No. 44 in Illinois 2013 class, has committed to Bradley University. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder from Rolling Meadows HS showed extremely well in the offseason.

Sean Coonan, a RHP/INF from Bloomington Central Catholic HS, has committed to Illinois Wesleyan. Coonan is currently ranked No. 143 in Illinois’ 2013 class.

Reed Hero, a 1B from Lincoln-Way North HS, has committed to Carthage.

Oakton CC has landed several more prospects recently: INF Jayden Thompson (Bloomington HS), OF/LHP Tanner Kiser (Oakton CC), INF Mike Shastany (Lake Zurich HS), LHP Alex Ventrella (Lisle HS), INF Tyler Albright (Huntley HS).

Jace Anderson, a RHP from Rock Falls HS, has committed to Sauk Valley CC.

Nick Murphy, a senior OF from Rochester HS, has committed to Quincy University.
