Unsigned Senior Spotlight: RHP/INF Will Jaynes

Over the last few weeks, the PBR Illinois staff has been covering the state's senior class by detailing the destinations the prospects are headed. From the Big Ten to the Atlantic Sun, we've been providing analysis and the latest notes on the future homes of the top talent in Illinois. Today, we're shining a light on the prospects who do not yet have landing spots for the fall of 2020.

Throughout the rest of this week, we'll highlight some names who deserve a little more attention as they prepare for the final spring seasons of their high school careers.

Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Highly projectable frame, lean and athletic with room to fill.
Delivery: Easy tall and fall delivery, smooth down tempo rhythm to foot strike, lands square and stays on line, athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Clean arm, live and loose, high 3/4 slot, quick arm that projects.
FB: T88, 86-88 mph. Hard and lively through the zone, mostly straight with finish.
CB: 65-67 mph. Played with some depth, 11/5 shape.
SL: 72-75 mph. 10/4 shape, showed feel and spin, thrown aggressively.
CH: 75-79 mph. Slight sinking action, mostly straight and showed above average feel.

Positional Profile: SS
Body: 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Athletic, long-limbed frame. Room for continued physical development.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, smooth load, short stride. Loose levers and hands, creates bat speed, ability to backspin the baseball to the pull-side and can work gap-to-gap. High-upside right-handed swing.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity from the tee. Ball jumps off the barrel at times.
Arm: RH. INF - 88 mph. Short, loose arm action plays from a ¾ slot and comes out of the hand clean and easy.  Throws had carry and played accurate across the diamond.
Defense: Steady infield defender, easy actions, plays tall at times, reliable hands and clean release.
Run: 7.14 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: RHP
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, works with rhythm and stays on-line.
Arm Action: RH. Short, quick arm action, ¾ slot.
FB: T84, 80-83 mph. Plays straight, located for strikes.
CB: 64-65 mph. 11/5 shape.
SL: 73 mph. 10/4 sweeping shape, thrown aggressively, potential swing and miss pitch.
CH: 72 mph. Played straight.
