Ostrowski showed flashes of being a high-level prospect last spring when he came out firing 91-92 mph fastballs to start a game. His velocity dipped after the first inning, but was still in the high 80s and worthy of the attention. He has a loose, quick arm and should be able to find that velocity more consistently in the future. It didn’t show up during a couple outings in the summer and fall, but Ostrowski is athletic with a long, projectable frame. His curveball showed improvement throughout the spring and has excellent depth with 12/6 action.
