Notre Dame commit Brady Louck (Plainfield East, 2023) comes in at No. 8 for the most viewed profiles of 2021. To say that Louck played a massive role in Plainfield East's 4A State Championship this past IHSA season would be an understatement. The southpaw completely dominated in the spring to help lead the Bengals to an unlikely State Championship after entering the playoffs with a 12-15 record. The Bengals went on to win seven straight games and claim the 4A State Championship with one of the most exciting runs in recent memory. After his impressive spring, Louck carried his dominance into the fall with a strong showing at the PBR Midwest Fall Championship back in September, continuing to prove he is one of the top prospects in the class.
Currently the No. 7 ranked player in IL, Louck helps make up the large group of Notre Dame commits hailing from IL's '22 and '23 classes. Standing at a wiry 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, Louck is able to run his fastball up to 90 mph and looks to have plenty more in the tank. With already one of the best fastballs in the class, Louck also possesses a swing and miss breaking ball with slurve type action and a fading changeup to round out his repertoire, showing advanced feel for all three pitches. Perhaps one of the most intriguing parts of Louck's game is his mound presence; the Notre Dame commit is a bulldog on the mound and doesn't shy away from big moments, making him one of the most exciting players to watch in all of Illinois.

Louck, a Notre Dame commit, made one of the biggest jumps in the overall rankings among Illinois prospects, jumping into the top 200 nationally. The southpaw showed advanced moxy, feel, and polish from the mound all year long, pitching beyond his years. His skill set helped him ace his high school squad, leading the Bengals to a 4A state championship. Louck pushed Plainfield East to the state tourney after notching a 13-strikeout gem in Super-Sectionals against, arguably, the top lineup in the IHSA. He commands his fastball to both sides of the plate, pitching comfortably in the upper-80s and reaching back for 90-91 mph when he needs it. He also has the ability to manipulate his sweeping breaking ball, landing it for strikes early in the count and expanding off the plate for swings and misses. His changeup has whiff traits as well, working at fastball arm speed featuring late tailing, sinking action at the bottom of the zone.
