On Jan. 13, at The MAX sports facility in McCook, Ill., PBR will be hosting the winter's Unsigned Senior Showcase. You can find registration information within the previous hyperlink, but we’ll use this post today, as well as the posts following this one leading up to this week’s event, to shine the light on a few of the attending prospects who merit specific mentioning.

In 2018, we had the chance to see C Nathan Sanchez (Lakeview) in action at the Illiana Preseason I.D. where he came away as one of the top-ranked overall prospects at the event and the No. 1-ranked catcher in attendance. His skillset as a defender might be his ticket to opportunities at the next level. Sanchez has a strong arm that features some carry on his throws down to second. On offense, Sanchez hits from the left side and features loose and quick hands with a line-drive approach. His balance in the batter's box allows him to effectively line balls into the gaps, too.

It'll be nearly a year to the day since we've seen Sanchez in a showcase setting, so it'll interesting to see the developments he's made over the year and how it's going to help him continue his playing career.
