By Drew Locascio
Illinois Scouting Director

Over the last few weeks, the PBR Illinois staff has been covering the state's senior class by detailing the destinations the prospects are headed. From the Big Ten to the Atlantic Sun, we've been providing analysis and the latest notes on the future homes of the top talent in Illinois. Today, we're shining a light on the prospects who do not yet have landing spots for the fall of 2020.

Scouting Report

8/06/19 -
Positional Profile: RHP. Did not allow a hit in his one inning of work.
Body: 6-foot-2, 195-pounds. Strong, wide-shouldered frame.
Delivery: Slow-paced, tall and fall delivery works with rhythm. Works on-line, lands square and easy effort.
Arm Action: RH. Clean, uninterrupted arm action with quick arm speed. Works from a high 3/4 window.
FB: T87, 81-85 mph. Plays straight, thrown for strikes, occasional downhill tilt.
SL: 70 mph.
CH: 73-74 mph.

3/15/19 - 6-foot-2, 190-pound uncommitted junior, athletic build. Came out of the pen tossing three innings of one hit ball striking out six. Live arm action, ball came out firm and easy with downhill tilt at times. Left the ball up when he started to mess with his leg kick in attempt to throw off hitters timing. Gets fiery in-game, if he can hone it in to each pitch, he has all the upside to be a weapon on the mound. Fastball sat 86-87 mph topping 88 in the first inning, settled in at 82-84 mph. Changeup faded hard off the fastball, plus secondary. Flashed a power curve, 71 mph with upside depth.

2.18.19 - 6-foot-2, 190-pound, right-handed pitcher, broad shouldered, athletic frame, live actions. Repeats tempo in delivery, sturdy balance with hip load, sits on back side into extension down the mound, level shouldered, strides in-line with foot striking square, smooth rhythm and pop up at finish. Short arm action, loose throughout, maintains quick arm speed, over the top slot. Flashed a feel for three offerings. Fastball had life, easy through the zone, tilt with heavy run at times, in the zone, sat 84-86 mph, topped 87 mph. Changeup, showed hard fade with deception, bottom of the zone, 76-79 mph. Curveball, 12/6 shape, sharp with depth at times, 67-70 mph
