Unsigned Senior Spotlight: St. Charles East's Jake Milosch

The Prep Baseball Report Unsigned Senior Showcase at the Max in McCook, IL took place this past Sunday, October 12, 2014. The open showcase was geared towards all uncommitted 2015 graduates, and included over 40 area colleges in attendance.

St. Charles East’s Jake Milosch is a 6-foot, 175-pound two-way player who excels both on the mound and at shortstop. The righthander impressed at February’s Preseason All-State Showcase both with a fastball in the low 80’s and his all-around play in the field.

Jake Milosch Scouting Report

Two way player, strong frame. Defensively plays through the baseball well, well above average infield actions, stays low through the baseball. Lower arm slot, short and loose, some carry, 76 mph across the diamond, good body control. Offensively hits from a slightly open stance, short leg lift trigger, good balance throughout. Hard contact hitter, inside out path. 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. On the mound delivery repeats itself, arm works from a high ¾ slot, much higher than middle infield arm slot. Fastball has slight arm side run, showed the ability to command the baseball. Curveball has 11/5 shape, slurve action, 69-70 mph, showed control. Changeup has occasional arm side run, 77-78 mph.
