EVENT HISTORY

We've been hosting this event for the past 7 years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent players who've later gone on to receive invitations to select events, like the Prep Baseball Future Games and Illinois State Games. Among the players in attendance at this event in 2024, there are already 12 commitments among them.

INF Brady Booth (Tremont, 2025) The North Central College commit showed well at last year's Peoria Preseason ID. At the plate, Booth had a max EV of 95.2 mph with an avg. of 87.8, a max distance of 361 ft. with an avg. of 310 ft. Booth went on to run a 6.92 60-yard dash and threw 86 mph across the infield.

C/RHP Ryan Duncheon (East Peoria, 2026) Illinois State Commit and former Illinois Future Gamer impressed at last year’s event with a peak EV of 94.2 mph and a max bat speed of 74.5 mph. Defensively, Duncheon had a 2.14-2.20 pop time.

CIF Sam Mitre (Marquette Academy, 2025) In his Prep Baseball showcase debut, Mitre had a loud BP round with a max EV of 97.5 and an avg. EV of 90.8 mph. Mitre had a max hand speed of 25.8 mph, max bat speed of 80.5 mph, and an avg. bat speed of 76.8 mph. A powerful round to help Mitre commit to Parkland College.

INF/RHP Kaeden Schatsiek (Brimfield, 2026) Northern Illinois commit had an impressive overall day at last year’s Peoria Preseason ID. In his BP round, the right-hander peaked his EV at 93.8 mph and a max distance of 363 ft. Schatsiek had a clean fielding round and threw 85 mph across the infield. His performance at last year’s event helped him become a Team Illinois Future Game participant.

We're looking forward to checking in on the next crop of talent from this event to earn next-level attention in the coming weeks, months, and years.

2025 ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

OF Keaton Ariano (Geneseo, 2027) Currently ranked No. 45 in the states 2027 class, Ariano is a name to watch at Wednesday’s event. Ariano, a former Illinois State Gamer has a max EV of 92.7 mph and a max bat speed of 74.9 mph. Defensively, Ariano throws 85 mph from the OF and runs a 7.02 60-yard dash. Ariano is a prospect that should impress this week.

RHP Soogyeom Park (Champaign Central, 2025) Standing at 6-foot-6, 217-pounds, Park is a prospect looking to blow up at Wednesday’s event. Park has a fastball and slider mix. His fastball is 83-86 T87 mph with 21.9 in. of horizontal movement. The slider is 73-75 mph with 18.4 in. of horizontal movement.

INF/RHP Kash VanHouten (Canton, 2027) Ranked No. 10 in Illinois’ 2027 class, VanHouten is a top two-way prospect in the state. Offensively, a max EV of 94 mph with a max distance of 344 ft. and a 6.96 runner in the 60. Defensively, the infielder throws 91 mph across the infield. On the mound, a three pitch repertoire, a fastball at 84-88 mph, slider at 72-75 mph, and a changeup at 75-80 mph.

RHP/OF Cullen Schwigen (Rockridge, 2027) The 6-foot-2, 176-pound two-way has continuously impressed in front of our staff. Currently ranked No. 8 in the Illinois 2027 class, Schwigen runs his fastball up to 88.5 mph while sitting at 84-87 mph, he throws his curveball at 71-74 mph, and his changeup at 80-82 mph. Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a Prep Baseball showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.
