Top-10 Profiles of 2024: No. 6 Jaden Fauske
December 24, 2024
Recent Louisiana State commit, Jaden Fauske (Nazareth Academy, 2025) continues our rollout as the No. 6 most-viewed profile of 2024. Currently ranked No. 2 in Illinois and No. 11 nationally, Fauske has quickly become regarded as one of the top left-handed bats in the country.
He’s been a contributor on varsity ever since his freshman year, and he already has two rings to show for it. This past year, despite coming up short in the search for a third straight state title, he had statistically his best season to date; garnering Prep Baseball First-Team All-State honors with a .546 batting average, 15 doubles, three triples, three home runs, 43 RBIs, 45 runs scored, just nine strikeouts and 18 stolen bases.
Fauske was one of two Illinois representatives at the Prep Baseball All-American Game this past fall, and he also showed well at the Team USA trials over the summer where our Vice President of Scouting, Shooter Hunt, had this to say about him:
From 7/22/24: “Fauske’s loose wrists and flick were once again on display as he maintained his status of having one of the sweetest swings in the class. Built with defined lean strength on a 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame that stands out as one of the strongest in the class, the ball jumps off the bat to all fields as he covers the plate with ease. It was more of the same from what has been seen all summer as he slowed the game down in the box, tracking pitches with ease, and demonstrating elite swing decisions with stroke zone mastery. Moving well enough in his corner outfield positions, the arm flashed glimpses above average, but likely settles in right at average in the future. While the biggest value is always going to come from the bat, there will be even greater intrigue should he get behind the plate on a more regular basis.”
Scouting Report
Verbally committed to Louisiana State.
Fauske appears for a second consecutive year on our First Team All-State list after yet another impressive junior season. Currently hitting at a pace to break Nazareth’s school batting average record, he tallied 59 hits in 108 plate appearances, slashing a remarkable .546/.612/.824, including 38 singles, 15 doubles, 3 triples, and 3 home runs. Showing impressive plate discipline and a keen eye for the strike zone, he racked up 23 walks over only 9 strikeouts. Though he DH’d most of the season, Fauske played a major role en route to Nazareth’s undefeated regular season and final 37-1 record. Fauske is currently ranked No. 20 overall nationally and No. 2 in the Illinois 2025 class. Look for him to be one of the top high school draft prospects in the Midwest next spring.
