Our biggest and most talented event of the calendar year is the Illinois State Games. The top prospects from all over the state make their way to the Rantoul Family Sports Complex in early August to take part in this one-of-a-kind invite-only event for a competitive, two-day showcase.
The first day of the event features a pro-style workout where prospects are taken through athletic testing, batting practice and a defensive workout, followed by gameplay after the showcase portion of the event, and the entirety of the following day.
The importance of the event, not only from a player’s perspective, but college coaches too, has only continued to grow each year. In 2022, the event’s inaugural year, 30 colleges attended the event, and in 2024 we saw over 50 schools attend, which included more than 75 coaches from those programs.
The ultimate goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for the players to showcase in front of college coaches so they can continue to follow them throughout the in-game portion of the event, and beyond, providing a great evaluation opportunity for coaches and players alike. Since the event concluded on August 7th, we’ve seen nearly 130 prospects that attended the event uncommitted, commit to a collegiate program.
