On Sunday, February 2nd, the Prep Baseball Illinois Staff hosted the Unsigned Senior Showcase at The Max in McCook, IL. This event has consistently served as an identifier for some of the top uncommitted players still left in the state.

Colt Armbrust, St. Francis (IL), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-0, 192-pounds. Strong bodied frame, developed lower-half.
Delivery: Up-tempo windup, works into a medium leg-lift with a coil at balance point, stride works in-line while staying in his legs, powerful intent down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, 3/4.
FB: T87, 85-87 mph. Mostly straight with some finish and life through the zone.  T2157, 2049 average rpm.
SL: 74-77 mph. 10/4 shape with some depth, flashed strikes to both sides of the plate.  T2615, 2516 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. Plays well arm-side, keeps down, throws with fastball intent.  T1784, 1729 average rpm.

Joseph Falkowski, Taft  (IL), 2025
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Durable, strong build, wide shoulders with a developed lower-half.
Delivery: Stretch only, high leg-lift into balance point, works downhill with intent, aggressive finish.
Arm Action: RH. 3/4, long, full arm action.
FB: T90, 88-90 mph. Clear life out of the hand, mostly straight action.  T2337, 2252 average rpm.
CB: 75-78 mph. Tight, short shape, thrown with intent.  T2732, 2657 average rpm.

Delivery: Clean mover, stretch only, high leg-lift, works into a slight drop/drive lower-half, works in-line, controlled operation throughout.
Arm Action: RH. Brings arm down on back swing, full arm action, 3/4 slot.
FB: T77, 76-76 mph. Straight fastball with some ride through the zone at times.  T2113, 2065 average rpm.
CB: 65-67 mph. Gradual break, 11/5 movement.  T2261, 2195 average rpm.
CH: 72-73 mph. Late drop at times, keeps low in the zone. T1549, 1444 average rpm.

Christopher Leigh Jr., Waubonsie Valley (IL), 2025
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 5-7, 135-pounds. Lean, athletic build.
Delivery: Stretch only, starts off feet staggered, high leg-lift into balance point, gets into his back hip before moving downhill, works in-line, clean mover.
Arm Action: LH. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T73, 71-72 mph. Straight four-seam action, kept mostly arm-side, plays with carry traits.  T2004, 1898 average rpm.
SL: 55-57 mph. Gradual 2/8 shape, occasionally popped out of the hand early.  T1462, 1437 average rpm.
