On Sunday, February 2nd, the Prep Baseball Illinois Staff hosted the Unsigned Senior Showcase at The Max in McCook, IL. This event has consistently served as an identifier for some of the top uncommitted players still left in the state. 

A player from Indiana that made the trek to McCook is OF Matt Civanich (Valparaiso, 2025), and he took one of the more polished rounds of BP on the day. The left-handed hitter stands in at a projectable 5-foot-10, 155-pounds with plenty of room to add on strength, and he showed a mature ability to cover the plate throughout his round, using the whole field with a line-drive approach and fluid/balanced operation.
